Was remembering my dad just yesterday...Never saw him in a pair of blue jeans or tennis shoes...he never owned either ... thought they were for little boys

My uncle was one. He would come to my grandmas on the weekend and she always had them. He would microwave them, I always thought they were so nasty looking.

I took a short cut tonight between Park Side Drive and Kingston Pike. The road was Hayfield Drive. In a bit, it struck me. It was once called that because it ran between hayfields. No hayfields around that area now. Used to be all hayfields. Sad, concrete and steel taking over good land everywhere.

helped my uncle cut, bail and haul hay one summer joust West of Farragut High School ... No hay to be found there today
