You’re right about it being a QB driven league.I have a sinking feeling we are about to lose 7 games in a row. Anybody got words of encouragement? Really concerned about QB position which is key. Another 17 year old QB recruit is not going to be the answer IMO.
You may be right. But if we lose 7 straight, and look bad doing it, things will start heating up again in Knoxville. I, however, think it is highly unlikely we drop 7 straight.
I think we will also beat Missou. However, the offense will have to start playing much better for that to happen. If the offense can score, our defense will be able to keep us above water. If the offense plays like they have the first 3 games, we will lose 7 games.I would focus on special teams and defense.
Both appear better than what was expected so far and will be key in knocking anyone off in an upset.
SC and KY appear to be the more promising winnable games In the next 7 IMO.
I dont hold out much hope against MO on the road. Almost always seem to have trouble against them as well.
We’re never as bad or as good as we the fans think.Nah man. I think we beat South Carolina and split Missouri/Kentucky. Maybe even beat both of those teams. 7-5 would be pretty YUGE for this team. The Pitt loss stings though. Would’ve been a good W to pick up.

I had zero expectations for this year. I still don’t. There were just too many unknowns. I’ll decide what I think about next year at the end of this one until then it’s just observing and gathering information.
So let me get this straight. Things could heat up in Knoxville in year one? After Heupel only has 71 scholarship players and facing sanctions that are not his fault? If this truly happens then the university and all who have anything to do with football need to be fired.
I mean my God, we can’t even give a head coach ONE stinking year now???

What I mean is Heating up from an impatient fan base perspective. Is it right? No. Do I agree with it? No. Will I be screaming Fahr Heupel? No. Will most of the fan base? How are we going to get said athletes with this poor recruitingI’d say, “Buckle up, Buttercupp.” At least for the next two years, it’s going to be difficult. It’s obvious by just the eye test, that we don’t have the athletes to be very competitive for at least that period of time. Beginning year three, there may be some hope to see some hope, depending on NCAA ( under today’s environment, I don’t expect much), and the ability of our coach and his staff.
