I don't even think we played that well.

We played pretty well...

Arguably our best defensive effort of the season and offensively we were pretty much what you expect, we also took care of the ball better than expected. We could’ve hit 1-2 more free throws and grabbed 6-7 more rebounds but we played pretty darn well.

Not that I thought we played bad but it didn't seem like we were playing beat the number 1 team good.

Came out on fire. Helped by slow start by Zaggs. Cooled off and had and ugly streak in the second half of poor shots and bad rebounding which is when we fell behind. But then buckled down in final 3ish minutes to pull off the victory.

Their board has to be one of the most respectful and well grounded I’ve seen. Their fans over there are taking this loss in stride and giving respect to our guys for winning. There is critique and them saying how it should have been won instead, but this was a dog fight and the Zags had every ability to have won this instead of us, so that’s quite fair.

Watching how their fans handle losing has won me over as someone who will root for them when they don’t play us for sure.

i think going to the zone D on our part was key - when Zags went full speed - we were in trouble - credit the coaching

We where the better team tonight. They had better athletes but the better team wins the night. It might not always go that way but it did. I would like to see them again. The last min make me vomit, chemo meds and nerves don't mix. If they ever team up like we do they are dangerous.

Zags hadn’t played a team that defends like we do all season. We definitely shut down a very, very good offense. Switching to zone was key, Washington almost beat them the same way. GU isgoing to win a lot of games this year, and I would not be surprised if we play them again before it’s all over.

I honestly think that was our best game in two years. Lights out defense and managed to hang point for point with one of the best offensive teams in the country. Their bigs pretty much denied the lane to Williams and Admiral, that was impressive to watch.

All in all...That game played out about how it should have. Two really good teams fighting it out for 40 mins. I think if those two teams played 10 times they would each win 5, and every one would be fun to watch.

This team is a team. Those of you that never played ball don’t understand, those that have understand. This team is physical and well coached. I look forward to a deep tournament run.
