I agree with you especially for the recruiting purpose, but Caldwell and Brooks will have to leave first for that to happen. Thought that there was a rumor about midseason that Caldwell was retiring, and that might still prove true since he turned down a DC job at Arky, but the main rumor is that it's Slade that will retire.

I heard Slade had health problems (aside from being a terrible secondary coach) I was listening to a Nashville sports radio show and they said they firmly believe Slade will step down this month.

Some coach out of the Knoxville Pop Warner league would probably be an improvement over Slade. Surely we couldn't be so lucky. That's probably one extra win a year right there.
