I am absolutely sick

News Flash... Oklahoma was ranked ahead of us for a reason and picked to win. We act like we are supposed to go undefeated this year or something. Let's focus on winning SEC East games which are the ones that really matter this year.

people aren't upset about losing this game, but the way in which we lost. we were the better football team, and we collapsed and choked. we got out coached badly in the second half. play calling was horrible. the point is I support them win or lose, but the reason people are upset is you do not lose a game at home with that kind of fan support when you dominate the whole first 3 quarters and have a 17 - 3 lead in the 4th! coached not to lose! gotta learn to win these games!

I'm absolutely done.

Call me a fair weather fan or whatever. Tennessee has not won a true game of significance since 2007 Georgia but they have lost game after game in what I would call perverse fashion. That's been eight seasons of this trash and I'm tired of it.

Oklahoma is an extremely mediocre team that will probably lose 6 to 7 games again this year. Stoops best days are so far in the rear view mirror no one know when they were. Yet they were still able to come back on Tennessee after 17 points down and Tennessee leading 17-3 to start the 4th, at Neyland Stadium of all places.

I'm really done for now. Start winning a game of significance every now and then, maybe it will be worth watching, but for now, yet again, I feel cheated out of four hours of my life.

Have you thought about filing suit against them

I'll make a bold statement, OU will not be in the playoffs. We gave them that game, and we'll be lucky to win 8 with SEC East being down. Maybe you have forgotten but Stoops is also chokes. K State seems to own him, even when they have less talent as of late.

Sure, Stoops chokes. It happens.

K-State has talent, maybe not to the level of OU in many positions, but talent non-theless. OU probably doesn't have the overall talent that Texas has. Common Denomintor? Coaching.

I'll take a Coach Bill Snyder any day, even over Stoops, even over Coach Butch Jones, regardless of his age. Snyder coached teams cut down on mistakes, play fundamental football and he isn't afraid to let his team take on challenges, risk, etc. He tries to put his team in the best position to win and usually does. There's a reason he's a HOF coach.

OU lose 2-3 games? Possibly. Don't confuse talent that OU has with offensive schemes. Our O has a lot to prove, but I think the OC Riley is getting them there. Our D isn't the most talented as some offenses it will face down the stretch, but they will do ok.

TN can win ball games this year. Two things will determine, IMHO how many. 1) Getting your talented players the pigskin. 2) Coaching/Game Mgmt.

Is is not a smart ass remark, it is the unfortunate truth of the legion of the miserable on this forum. So deal with it.

Your the one who needs to deal with it! If it bothers you that bad to read others opinions on here, dont read them. Not everyone looks at a loss like you , other people has a opinion to.

You're and too. You really need to learn to deal with grammar before football.........

Well. Bye!

Your moniker matches your attitude and Volnation needs a few less "hot house flowers!"

Thats the real intelligent response I was looking for. I guess it makes you feel like a big man to get on here and call people out, and correct them on their spelling. Good job Mr Fennie.

Am I wrong? The funny thing about all of this is that you are still crying over nothing.

The coaches just can't tackle or block anyone, what should they do?

Look, the OP was written seconds after the worst throw-away loss in Neyland Stadium history.

Yes, there were execution mistakes in the 2nd half by the players.

However, all of that comes down to coaching:

1. in three years Mahoney has seemingly failed to teach the line to pick up a blitz or hit a moving body,

2. it will truly be Judgment Day for Butch and his offense next week at Florida (I hate it, personally, but I've given it time and talent to work),

3. the OK adjustment should have been seen well in advance, anticipated and countered by any high school coaching staff much less the "best staff in America".

4. where are our WR?

I think the lack of execution stems almost exclusively from a lack of coaching. When put under pressure, this offensive scheme folds faster than pretty pink panties at the laundromat.

We'll definitely see against Florida. As I've pondered the Butch regime with a cooler head post the OK loss, 26-Sep-15 is truly Judgment Day on his offense, which, because he has tied himself so completely to it, is Judgment Day on Butch Jones himself. The offense either gets it done against a top notch defense, or you might as well photoshop Ron Zook's face onto pictures of Butch on the sidelines.

Oklahoma will win more than 6 or 7 games. So will Tennessee. Both teams have some deficiencies on the offense, maybe. UT played great on D, but so did OU. I, am admittedly an actual trolling OU fan. I don't post much on these things and with all due respect, most of you guy's reasons for losing, are disrespectful to both teams.

Tennessee did not "give this game away". OU, with 8 minutes left, took the momentum with brute force and played like they were capable when it counted. Your D got warn down a little. We OU fans, including me, (just speculating) were calling for Riley's head during the game. This was just two well above average teams duking it out, but someone had to lose. With all due respect, OU made a couple of unforced mistakes that aided in UT's scoring and kept OU in rotten field position, but that's just part of the game.

Just my opinion, so you may take it FWIW, but I really believe both teams will be just fine this year. As it is also my opinion that each team caused much of each others deficiencies.

It was a helluva game. In the SEC, UT is my favorite team. My mother is from Jefferson City so it's in my blood.

Quit freaking out and just try and give credit where credit is due. I have much respect for your team and coaches and you guys are pretty danged good, if you ask me. Don't pull the trigger yet.

Respectfully,
The Savage

OU's coaches and team gets credit for continuing to fight and find ways to win. Tennessee gets credit for completely dominating the game early but then letting off the gas and not responding appropriately to the schematic changes that OU rightly made. Stoops severely out coached Jones.

Bottom line, if Tennessee had continued to play with the pace, energy and aggression they played with early throughout the duration of the game, they would've won the game handily.
