Agree on that, he has no control on the price. Had he had 4M in place he would have left in winter. Those teams who had discussions seem to be distancing themselves at this point.

I think the University of Tennessee should be very willing to allow him to attend college here (as long as he pays tuition), but I think he is done as a Football Player.

He can try out for the Men's Volleyball Club team lol.

That would be my offer.

I think we would lose a lot of players if he was allowed to come back. There would be no trust....If he was shopping his services around on the sly , who's to say he might get in a money situation where he might shave points down the road. That's what college football has become.

You could never get over what he did to the program and especially his teammates/coaches. I already question if he actually tried to win/lose some games he played in for money. He will wear this stink with him the rest of his life.

He broke team rules by not showing up to an event and didn't explain himself and then he broke team rules and didn't show up to another event with no explanation.

Purported pictures show him flying out of Nashville, so he's not showing for whatever team meeting, practice, QB room event, etc is planned for today and I'll bet he still hasn't given a reason.

3 strikes, you're out. UT has already given him his chances to say "My bad" for several days now.

No. Whether or not Nico had any control over this, he won’t/can’t be separated from the actions and involvement of his dad. His dad seems to be a liability to him and an antagonist to UT.

He can't come back. Us fans are not a forgiving bunch and he will not be welcomed back. The fans speak loud when they don't want something to happen.

No way, no how. That bridge was soaked in kerosene, torched, and burned to the ground on Friday.

Bringing him back poisons the well. Dad or no dad. We aren't talking about some generational talent who is worth chancing the locker room chemistry and program integrity. The entire nation, media, and fanbase seems to be 100% in agreement that Tennessee made the right decision and the Iamaleava family has seemingly been exposed as the money-hungry bunch that they are. Welcoming those wolves back into your house is a fool's errand for a kid who doesn't necessarily raise the level of your team. I think Nico has talent, but he's not Peyton Manning.

I am shocked how everyone is on Tennessee’s side. Talk radio, mainstream media, etc. I have yet to hear a single person defend Nico. I think this is going to be irreparable harm to him and I wonder if he even makes the same amount at the next program. Besides that summer camp is just around the corner and there is no way Nico learns a new system that fast so he is set up for failure. His dad really screwed him over which is a shame considering everything I have heard is he is a good kid. He is definitely screwed now though.

WAS is the key word. He broke the deal that was in place REPEATEDLY and got dismissed.

Like Salter and others before him, he forfeited his scholarship by breaking the rules repeatedly and he knew getting dismissed was a likely occurrence.

If Heupel took him back, he might as well bend over and get ready because his respect in the locker room is gone. He might as well let Nico play and his Dad be Head Coach.

It's not workable. Heupel isn't going destroy his coaching career like that.

He's gone. He probably does have a deal in place. My guess is it's either with UCLA, Washington or Arizona State, maybe even BYU or Utah? I don't think he's getting $4 million though. He simply isn't worth that much.

No chance. Each team is only allowed 12 contact spring practices. A qb missing that limited opportunity to get timing down with rb's wr's oline intentionally affects the entire team. It's completely selfish and proves that he is not concerned with winning or the well being of the team beyond what it does for him personally. A team serious about winning needs more of a team commitment from the qb position. Someone will pick him up but it won't be for 4 mil and it won't be a championship level team.
