Actually, I'm feeling more comfortable about Herman for the simple reason that we already have a quality (second tier to my mind) DC aboard. Might be a lethal combo. The one negative I have on Herman (aside from overall record) is that his offense isn't plug-and-play (essentially what the people here are saying when they complain that Butch would have been nowhere without Dobbs). The QB has to carry the ball A LOT for it to be effective. There are some that are at least closer to plug-and-play, that could work well with Bailey OR Salter.

The problem with Butch's offense is he didn't let Dobbs have full control of it. It is easy to see looking back that Jones tried to make Dobbs a glorified RB 80% of the time.

not just my favorite, but easily the best candidate for the job.

Its not even that close. Tom Herman and Chadwell are the closest but they really can't touch his resume.

Hope we hire an AD with a couple testicles and some sense.

So your telling me there are probably hundreds of coaches who “could” potentially be the head coach for Tennessee.

One of them “Freeze” had issues. Now Tennessee has issues......and your telling me he won’t be the next head coach.

I think everyone understands that. However your putting your opinion out there as if it were “fact.”

He “probably” has zero chance......however you nor I know if they would even talk to him or not. Pure speculation given the circumstance.....which isn’t fact.
