Complete bonehead call by Hugh in the bowl game vs. Coastal Carolina. Tried not to score and run more clock and it got him a fumble instead. Although Liberty won in OT that was just an awful call by Hugh and I would never hope to see him in Orange and White.
Was the right call. He didn't make his own guy fumble

haha.
Because of one bad call where he got ahead of himself. Its fans like you why the administration continues feel comfortable to hire no names that lose. Yeah. Who wants a coach that wins??? I mean really...is that even the point of the game.

I don’t think it’s an emotional bias to wonder if he’s another Bruce Pearl. He clearly can coach. It’s just a matter of whether you’re comfortable that he won’t go back to bad habits.

Pearl’s worst habit was that his immediate instinct is to lie and keep lying until he’s confronted with overwhelming evidence. I think that’s harder to fix than banging whores but who knows.

Yep, what someone does outside of their marriage isn’t my concern.

Freeze’s record at Ole Miss was pedestrian without The two Alabama’s wins. The Liberty record this year is because he is playing against a much softer schedule than the D1 talent which is on his roster. Sure he is better than Pruitt. I would hope we could do better than Freeze.
He is far from the program savior many believe.

You serious?

Huge Freeze at Mississippi:
7-6
8-5
9-4
10-3
5-7

The year before he got to Mississippi they were 2-10....their only wins, Southern Illinois and Fresno State.

That is not pedestrian for Mississippi....nor would it be for Tennessee right now.

It’s been 01-04 since Tennessee has had 4 winning seasons in a row.

I thought it was a good decision to milk the clock. You usually don't expect your own teammate to jump on your back and strip the ball.

Mine either. What he did sloppily paying off recruits.... is. Vacating wins just screws up recruiting, losing scholarships screws up recruiting, etc.

I'll joke all day about a dummy who uses a company phone to cheat on his wife, but I don't care. Someone in the SEC who doesn't know how to cheat and get away with it...... makes life hard.

As someone said, Saban, Kiffin, Kirby..... are saying, "Son, you don't know if he'll have them out of the bowls and on probation....... and you off the big stage for next level. We have this stuff covered without problems. The only time he did it in the SEC, he got caught."

Has nothing to do with some moral stance. This is the exact same argument people used to use for keeping Bruce Pearl after he lied to the NCAA.

He can coach. I get it. He might do great things here and I’d support him if he was hired. But you can’t act like people are dumb for asking about a guy’s past and whitewash a guy wrecking a program with recruiting violations and showing bad judgement.

Probably the worse play I have seen EVER in college football. So stupid!!!

Wasn't that blamed on an assistant or something? I don't remember details. I do remember them in the FF in 2019.
It’s mostly about Chuck Person and the fact that Pearl is still employed indicates that so far he’s still got deniability.

To be clear: I believe it's definitely a bit of a gamble to hire Freeze, and I think it's a pipe dream. But, it's a gamble and dream I'd take all day over the current situation.
I can get on board with that. I just don’t get how people seem so convinced that he’s the clear cut answer and act like you’re crazy if you mention his past.

I never called or insinuated that I thought you dumb. I just offered a subjective argument with zero emotion attached.

The great Saban killer” has also lost to Mizzou, Memphis, TCU and MissState. Y’all forget that stuff.

The point is, it’s a subjective argument and not an objective argument because it’s hard to quantify how he’d handle the things outside of gameday. That’s all I’m saying.
