The biggest problem I see with hiring either of these guys coaching tonight is the big money boosters and the AD.

The big money guys thought Greg Schiano was going to be a good hire. Would have been a disaster bigger than Jones IMO. Worse attitude and the league has shifted from defense to offense.

The AD thought Jeremy Pruitt was such a good hire after 2 interviews and 3 years of mostly crap that he helped him get an extension. Same thing as Schiano in that the league has switched from defense to offense.

Until the big money guys change their thinking and they get rid of Fulmer, I don't have any expectation of this program bringing in a decent coach.

2 million cheaper isn't worth the risk of losing your first choice coach. It also will cost more to replace assistants that have left that will need 2 year contracts.

So damn depressing. We could sell out to get chf and almost certainly come away with him. But we hired an old ass man who was fired 15 years ago for being old and allowing the job to pass him by. So we shouldn’t be surprised at what we ended up with. And now we’re going to have to push him out the door before we could see a change.

Even more reason to hire him. We hold the cards in contract negotiations and ensuring oversight and compliance. Freeze would have no choice but to accept it if he wanted to coach here. However, we won’t go after him.
