@de1conley been thinking about your post. Any idea who the “new money” is vs “old money”? Obviously the Haslams would be old, but what camp would Ergen, Thunder, and Anderson fall into?

Are new names and faces emerging?

In your opinion, he might be the best but in my opinion, he is not the best available.

If we fire Pruitt, we need to get the replacement right. It will take time... If Pruitt wants to walk let him walk, but replacing him with a new but old Shinney Object is how we got into this mess to begin with....

Remember, the scenery at UT has changed at but the same Wash, Rinse and Repeat Scenario has not since Kiffin left...

Freeze's record at Ole Miss is a measuring Stick...for the SEC and that was then I will not Compare it to his Liberty because it's a different League.

You do realize you are using a Covid Season to prop the Record...UT on that Schedule would be ?

Don't you know that there are several saints on here who have reached human perfection and any day now will be taken up to heaven still alive? So we couldn't possibly consider a coach that doesn't meet their standards, even if he is the one clear home-run hire available.

I do not know how that poster defines old vs. new money but I consider all of the names you mentioned as old money. I would define old vs. new based on how long they have been donating/influencing UT decisions. There are some new money folks coming in but none that are near the net worths of Haslam family and Charlie.

Ergen is about same age or older than Jimmy Haslam, I don’t know about thunder Thornton or Anderson but think they’re probably 60’s. The young one is a mystery but hear it may be Peyton Manning.

Not a Quick Plug and Play for Sure. Upper Tier/Level Coaching Experience.
Look the last time we were in this Mess we hired John Majors, it took 7 years to fix a 6 year mistake. We are currently in a 13 year Mess and a coaching Carousel combined with piss poor Choices is not going to fix squat.

Better get this next hire right.

Not speaking for him...

But some of the ring leaders on getting Fulmer in last go around were his former players that played in the NFL.

I agree. But if Freeze, who has had success against the best coaches in this league, isn’t upper tier... who would is? Dabo Swinney and Nick Saban aren’t going anywhere. Urban Meyer seems content staying home.
