Look at the expression on Saban's face when Hugh told him he'd be coaching at UT, soon ...

It’s an indictment on Jeremy Pruitt when the only defense to keep him is never that he’s a good head coach. It’s only ever about money. The thought seems to be, “we will fire him when the finances clear up some.”

It’s like everyone knows he’s gonna be gone. Makes no sense to wait to do it if you’re gonna do it

Guess we will see how the season moves along...maybe we could play them in a bowl and find out

Hell yeah. I'd LOVE to see that. Not sure what would be more humiliating to our BOT/admin....losing to Candy with a female kicker drilling one home or having the Preacher undress us at Liberty U on national television.

Money should never be a problem. Why don’t we give a unproven HC 3 years and after contract if good enough give him additional 2-3 years? If Vandy and SC can make a change then we definitely need one too. HIRE HUGH FEN FREEZE!

The same guy that wrote the article about hiring cut wrote this about hiring Freeze.

There you have it folks.

To be clear, and someone should probably inform Phillip Fulmer and Jimmy Haslam about this, but the only way I will remain a Tennessee fan is if we hire Hugh Freeze. That's the only way guys... and I'm not sorry about it. I've hung with them for longer than they deserve. The ball is in UT's court.

I'm the exact opposite of you: Born in 1961 into a family of UT fans, so have been a fan my entire life, but the hiring of Hugh Freeze would put an end to that. (As far as football goes.)

Article is going on three y/o. Ole Miss comes off probation this year and it won't stop Freeze from coming back to SEC if the offer presents itself..
No it's not, it was at the end of the 18 season and the rule still hasn't changed, if Freeze is hired anywhere in the SEC at any position then it will only come with the approval of Sankey. Nobody challenged the rule when Saban tried and I doubt they will challenge it if TN tries. Sankey has told folks privately that it probably would not happen under his watch. I don't think it happens anywhere in the SEC this year.

Sankey doesn’t approve hires nor can he block them. Again read the bylaws.

It was from early June, 2018.. My bad, 2 1/2 years old...

The only reason Sankey blocked Saban from the hire in 2018 because he didn't want Freeze in the league while Ole Miss was still on probation.. They come off probation end of this month. Not to mention, Pruitt wanted to hire Freeze at the same time Saban did and Fulmer was on board with it... This has been rehashed over and over ad nauseum...
