I believe most boosters are there but you will need all of them to afford the buyout and new coaches. Loss to Vanderbilt gives irrefutable proof that Pruitt must be fired.

While on one hand I have zero faith that Tennessee will fire Pruitt this year and hire Freeze, on the other I find it fascinating that there's a lot of smoke around Freeze to Tennessee and not just on message boards and social media. Seeing comments from guys like Bruce Feldman give me hope that there might be a chance.

At this point I have no other reason to be excited about Tennessee football so I'm going to choose to believe that Hugh Freeze leads the Vols into Neyland on September 4th, 2021 and hangs 63 on Bowling Green.

We are still paying Butch. There is zero chance we are firing Pruitt this year.

You only have to get the hire right once every 15 years or so. People are weary of another coaching search because of the past 13 years. There are actually a few good up and comers right now.

- We hired Dooley who had a losing record already.
- Kiffin had a losing record but had pro experience coaching
- We hired Butch who had success of off teams he didn't build himself (Brian Kelley).
- We hired Pruitt with no HC experience at all who chose to coach Bama's defense and not get HIS program started immediately for 2018. (Pruitt worst of the 4)

With all 4 coaches, we got the results you pretty much could anticipate.
Kiffin has improved and has had success over 3 different programs since. But he's already had his chance here and he's back in the SEC money now anyway.

Freeze BY FAR is the best candidate we could ACTUALLY have in the past 14 years of the coaching searches.
From a PR standpoint. Before it becomes public that he accepts the position, have him do an interview about his loyalty and desire of coaching at UT. His history coaching in Tennessee High School football. His love for the State of Tennessee. Have him breifly mention his satisfaction beating Alabama on the recruiting trail in the state and on the field as a result (twice). Lastly his love for family and his love for Christ. Own his mistake and discuss how God gave him a 2nd chance. Have him preach about redemption.

Offer him 6.5 mil a year with incentives by year 3 to increase that to 8 mil or MORE and all the other bonuses along the way. Stop effing around and let a real Head Coach get this thing RIGHT!

Only need to get the right guy every 15 years or so. Hugh Freeze is the best candidate THAT WANTS TO COACH HERE, and it's not even close.

We would immediately in 2021 be a dangerous team.

It was Slive who got serious about cleaning up the cheating throughout the conference. Pretty sure there is a Finebaum interview where Slive all but says that Freeze won't coach in SEC while he's there. This article is crap too, I can't believe we have fans that put stock in what those two yahoos at AtoZ have to say.

Hugh Freeze was actively coaching in the SEC when Slive retired in summer of 2015, so Slive would have had no bearing on Freeze returning to the conference. Freeze went on to win the Sugar Bowl later that year and the SEC didn't have a good run of clean programs Auburn with Cam Newton, Bobby Patrino with interns are just a few that came before Freeze but in the same time frame

I agree with so much if this the only thing I’d say is that it likely wouldn’t require the type deal you’re suggesting. You’d probably get him for 4.5M with incentives. we’d win 10 games next year with him and immediately be a contender for the sece

Its absolutely his agent. Just has me wondering what the motive is. Has someone reached out to them? Is he saying he would take it if offered? Are they trying to get another team to hurry and throw cash?

the second one. fulmer hasn’t reached out to him, and wouldnt hire him at all. maybe boosters have, but no one official has. and as for the third one, he already has teams fighting for him. it’d be unnecessary to say you have a preferred destination.

ADs don't make hires in this conference, I'm not saying Freeze comes here but whether he does or not Fulmer has little bearing on that
