I would say SC is already in play for Freeze

Well one thought my dad had about it that works in our favor, is Clemson owning that state now. Yes, I know we have an extremely difficult schedule year in and year out, but as far as in state talent, they have an in state opponent who is a national title contender. That might make getting a better head coach more difficult. Just trying to be somewhat optimistic I suppose

I'm not COMPLETELY out on Pruitt yet, but I do have a question about hiring a new coach right now...

SIAP... Is there any precedent for an AD hiring a head football coach with the stipulation that they can't bring an entire staff? They have to keep any assistants who are under contract and can replace any whose contract is expiring?

Could you imagine what Freeze could do with Baily. If we keep Pruitt and let USCjr get Freeze I'm going to be dog sick. Keeping Pruitt another year will be program suicide but it will happen. Looks like Fulmer with get the last laugh for 2007.

If it's true that Freeze wants to coach at UT, maybe he'll wait a season or two to see if the job opens up. Not sure what the urgency would be for him, personally, to leave Liberty.

Some coaches like the challenge. Those are the guys you want.

We are not going to hire Hugh Freeze. Nor should we. Even putting the calls to the escort service aside, he did not prove he could win at Ole Miss without cheating. He was caught providing impermissible benefits to his players. The same thing would happen here... with the same result: we would win more in the short run, but then have to fire him and serve time on probation with sanctions including scholarship reductions and bowl bans. And just like Ole Miss, we would have to bring in some lifetime assistant like Matt Luke to clean up the mess, because nobody else would take the job after Freeze. It's not worth it.

So you're saying the worst case with Freeze is that we don't get to bowl games, have trouble recruiting, and have to hire a sh!t coach to run the program?

Explain how that's been anything more than the cycle we are currently in?

Freeze
Kiffin

We need a guy who won't have a learning curve in this league. It's like no other.
Coach Sark has alot of experience and he will be a head coach probably south Carolina. He has scored more points for Alabama this year than anyone else. His offense is the highest scoring ever. Better than Kiffin and he has years of head Coaching experience Washington and USC and NFL experience. He is more experienced than Kiffin.

I’m thinking that this could have legs.

Fulmer has already pulled one coup...The Night Of The Orange Knives.

It has been eerily quiet (Fulmer has CV19, but still)

Something could be happening behind the scenes.

Then again, maybe not. We can only hope.
Hope is literally the only thing we can muster at this point

Depends on his record there over time. He's having a dream season, better to leave when his stock is at an all-time high.

Such a long, long shot right now we don't have the funds for a Top Hire like Freeze and the buyout of dummy and staff is like $20 million, just don't see it happening. If Pruitt continues to play JG and we lose to Vanderbilt all bets are off and they may just have to fire Pruitt.

Hope the deep pocket boosters are listening to what is happening. Mr Ergin are you listening at Dish Networks, last I checked your net worth is now exceeding $10 BILLION and we would be very grateful if you could spare some pocket change and make this happen!!

I bet Peyton carries enough for the buyout in his wallet .....

By this assumption then no matter how many games he would have won this year, it wouldn’t have mattered right?
No, I'm saying to bail himself out of what he has done this year, he will have to at least win against one of the big 3. Have to see major progress next year. Not sure we will.
