Hudson Wolfe decomitted

Any person blaming anyone other than Pruitt for this is insane. Chaney has always used TE's in his offense up until he became OC under Pruitt. Chaney is not our problem. Go back and watch the last 6 minutes or so of the past 3 games and you will see Chaney offenses. It's as if Pruitt keeps control until the game is out of hand and then he lets Chaney run his offense. Interestingly enough that also tends to be the time when our offense is most productive.

IMO Phil was between a rock and a hard place when he hired Pruitt, no other respectable HC wanted the job, so he did the best he could and took a flyer. Phil, it was Ok, you took a chance and it didn't work out, but now you have to do the right thing and admit you made a mistake and Fire Pruitt and get us a real Head Coach.

It is not too late for you and it would show that you are going to do what is best for UT and that means letting Pruitt go and hire a new replacement on your terms. You know what a experienced HC looks likes now muster the dollars and rattle the boosters cages and lets get this done now before it is too late.

This class will finish ranked outside the top 30. What is Pruitt bringing to this football program right now??

You don't understand the complexities of recruiting and the master plan Pruitt has planned for the football team. If we were to fire him, it would destroy this class and set us back even further than 12th in the SEC to 13th.

Needs a few more years, the team is young and Covid has really hampered the progression of everyone. Proud of Jeremy and the guys to get this team to a bowl game and grab that 200 thousand dollar bonus.

But, in the event of having to find a new coach, I guarantee Tennessee has the right person leading the ship. Between his personal experience of hiring assistants, his handing of raises to both Holly Warlick and Jeremy Pruitt and the behind the scenes work to singlehandedly keep Rick Barnes, Phil Fulmer is the man for the job. Hopefully Tennessee can have him come back and coach and make Tee Martin his offensive coordinator. I hear John Chavis has some free time, too?
Bravo and well said my dear fellow!! Perhaps a few points that I would dispute, but no doubt UT needs the Lion of Knoxville behind the wheel of the Vol Navy, steering the program to safe harbor.

Brother, you forgot the blue font. Sadly, there are a few in here who will read that and feel vindicated in their dedication to Beldar and Workin' Like Heck.
(Yes, I used different nicknames....gotta keep is fresh)
Fulmer has bled in the mud for this program, and has dedicated his adult life to the betterment of this school. The first son of Tennessee football deserves a chance to right the ship. I only hope that he has the fortitude to do what needs to be done, and take the reins of into his sturdy hands.

everyone thus far who has posted except ravol doesn't have a clue that gilbert will leave LSU and commit to UT. Could this have any bearing on Wolfe's decision? Might want to check out Gilbert's recruitment ratings. He knows that he's a weapon and will be under-utilized at LSU.........he gone. Now where will he go?
LOL! There is no way he comes here. He'll end up at Georgia or Alabama like everybody else.

Wrong. It's not okay. Fulmer never should have been hired in the first place. He's incompetent as an AD (witness the ridiculous contract extension for Pruitt that will now cost the university dearly). Fire Fulmer now. Fire Pruitt now.

Well, can't say I blame him. He has several other offers that are quite honestly better options for him at this point. If you were him would you want to play for this offense? I wouldn't. We don't utilize our TE's, we have one of the worst offenses in the country, we may be the worst power 5 statistically. How many receptions do all TE's combined have this season? I can't be more than 5.

This is what losing does to a program. It takes a toll on every level. You lose like we have...we become a joke that gets laughed at and recruits become embarrassed to say they are coming here. "Why you going to UT? They are sorry ass program. They gonna fire they head coach anyway." Etc etc. The bad stuff just keeps snowballing. Setting records for consecutive double digits losses is just really bad for a program. Winning matters.... ALOT.

Hudson: Commits
VOL Fan: (Ignores 247 composite, uses Rivals) He’s the number one tight end in the country!!!

Hudson: DeCommits
VOL Fan: (Ignores Rivals, uses 247) Not a take, was only the #19 TE and not even top 200.
