Hubbs reporting...

So you wish one of the best offensive minded people in the country... one of the best recruiters in the country... would go to one of our biggest to rivals?... yes that makes sense said no one ever!!

Did you see the job Kiffin did at usc? Plus, I’d like to beat the guy.

We are looking at potentially the worst record in UT history.

And it makes no difference? How about we stop coddling the baby who made this mess, fire him, promote Scott, Hoke or heck even bring in Fulmer to try and get this team some new energy so we DO NOT have the worst season in UT history?

It's obvious the team quit on Butch long ago... we should've ripped off the band-aid long ago, financial mess be damned.

No offense but I don't care who the interim is, they aren't going to transform this team into something they aren't. We are not beating LSU. Vandy is a toss up, but beating them won't change our season. Vandy beating us will make theirs. An interim won't energize this bunch. It won't make them gritty, hard nosed players who will suddenly become better blockers and tacklers. This season is in the can. It's done. Only question is 7 or 8 losses...and frankly, I don't care. The fact that we are sitting here debating if it's important that we can boast about never having had an 8 loss season churns my stomach. 7 vs 8 losses...still a damned monumental failure.

With that said, is it unreasonable to believe they may have just rescheduled this week to an earlier time? They do meet every Sunday. Maybe Currie had somewhere he had to be today .

Entirely possible but with the circumstances surrounding this right now every change in schedule for things like this put certain people on high alert. Could mean nothing could mean everything but it does deviate from a very busy tightly managed schedule and worth mentioning. Hubbs thought so and for him to even mention it makes it worth note.

Apparently the AD department is committed to letting Butch totally own this. There won't be any doubt how poorly he and his decisions have not shown any hope for returning Tennessee to greatness.

They gave him a chance. He had a 5 game playoff and so far has failed miserably

I think it does make a difference. Butch needs to go now so we can get the new coach ...cough... Gruden...cough... in place asap to stop losing our best recruits.

Gruden would be nice, but any good coach coming in would have a fair chance of saving early signees. I, like many, think something has to be done to salvage these early guys.

At the same time, many are beginning to wonder about the "high stars" recruited over the last few years. (are they what they were thought to be talent wise) Maybe bringing a new head man on board now gives him time to look at the incoming guys to see if they are really what THEY are thought to be.

5 stars need coaching, development. All falls on butch.

Of course you don't care... that's obvious by your comment about keeping Butch til the end of the season!

It's about salvaging what's left of the season and not having a historically bad year for UT. That's it. Find someone to MOTIVATE the team, not play like a dog with it's tail tucked between its legs. So tired of this defeatist attitude from our fans and players alike. It's a program killer.

the problem i have if they wait until the end of the season, is what are we supposed to do for the next two weeks as fans? sit around and do nothing?

Do exactly what you'd do if we had an interm....cheer the players on and get through the rest of this nightmare as best we can. Look, we can sit here and debate whose dung stinks the most, but at the end of the day, it's dung and we aren't making it air freshener. It is what it is.

So we're back to this being the fans' fault?

Lol
