Tough game for UT...and will have to scrap to have any rushing success.
We don't have the skill or speed to play man against Georgia. I expect to see a lot of zone Saturday.
Not sure I agree with this. Buffalo had nearly 1 back rush for 100 yards and another had 14 carries for 83 yards. Florida Atlantic's starting running back was averaging 5.8 yards a carry, and Stacy averaged 7 yards a carry for Vandy. Against Missouri they did shut down Franklin, but one running back averaged 7.2 yards a carry and the other running back averaged 5.1.
Agree. Starting Gordon IMO wouldn't hurt things either. I keep hearing about the star position. If he's so good at that, put him there when they go to Nickel and put him opposite Prentiss in traditional sets. I keep hearing this, I keep hearing that...I've yet to see a better corner not named Prentiss on this team. Flat out mind boggling.
I think Gordon is the only bright spot we have in the secondary. That being said, there is a reason he has never played CB at UT. He can't play fast when he has to think so much. We play a lot of nickel. What baffled me is not playing Bonner or Grey Saturday, but letting Teague get more reps. Georgia beat Teague like a red headed step child last year.

I haven't seen anything that makes me think this team is going to beat a top ten team. I certainly hope they do and I'll be cheering but we'll have to play at a level this team hasn't approached yet.
The question I have is this. Is Georgia really a top 10 team? I know they are ranked number 5 right now. But, I don't think they are really that good and will be a top 10 team by the end of the year. Of course they have the easy schedule again. But, are they really a top 10 team? I don't think so.
Georgia has all of its D starters back now. I think everyone on Georgia's schedule will struggle to run. To beat Georgia you have to throw well and protect your QB.
UT is gonna have to figure out a way to run it enough that Georgia has to respect that. That also helps protect your QB not only from blitzs but it also makes passing lanes easier to manage.
That doesn't mean rushing for 150 or Neal getting 100, but if UT goes full bore passing like they did the last quarter of the UF game you will see a similar result. If we go that route from the get go like some think we may, the game may be over by half time.
