The Fulmer worshippers ignore that 3.857. And then they wonder why people on here are unhappy with his coaching. Then they proceed to insult the "negavols" because they arent wearing the orange-tinted glasses like the Fulmer worshippers. They are the textbook definition of a homer.

Notice that the thread had calmed down until OS showed up. Also notice that earlier everyone was fighting with VolBeef. Coincidence that the two Fulmer worshippers start all the fights and the majority of people dont get along with them? No.

As for trying to get Hatevol banned forever...give me a break. You know, I dont like everything he says, and I cant remember once where he said something positive about the Vols, but...the vast majority of the time when he is critical of something there is at least SOME merit to what he has to say. You can get on him about bashing the coaching or the program, but then you take a look at the numbers (like .3.857) and see that he isnt just running his mouth. Sure, he can be insulting, but not anymore then OS or VolBeef is. The difference is they go more on emotion while Hate goes more on fact.

So get off your moral high horse. You degrade people that disagree with you as much as anyone. We know youve taken defending Fulmer as some kind of warped personal crusade and that saying negative things about him is akin to treason...but if we're stuck reading your koolaid-drinking rubbish about the coaching staff, you're stuck reading our unhappiness with a coach averaging 3.857 losses a season since 1999. Deal with it like we have or get lost.

I would be moritifed that a poster is banned based on content of his thinking.

Besides, I like hat. He is great comic relief.

well this certainly got interesting...all i can say is wow. i applaud all partied for their efforts. very entertaining.

FIRE FULMER FIRE FULMER FIRE FULMER

BRING BACK WALT HARRIS

that should get it started again lololololol

On a lark, and for my own personal point of referrence, I did the same analysis on what I consider to be the best programs over that time period both in and out of the conference. There are a couple of schools that you could argue should be included, but I think this list, even if incomplete, might be informative.

Note: The format looked good in my preview, but it pushed it together on the post. The first set of numbers shows the number of losses/average losses per year through the '05 season, the second set shows number of losses/average per year through the '06 regular season.

Texas 16/2.286 19/2.375
OhioSt 23/3.285 23/2.875
USC 23/3.285 25/3.125
Miami 14/2 20/2.5
Oklahoma 16/2.286 18/2.25

LSU 26/3.714 28/3.5
Auburn 27/3.875 29/3.625
Georgia 21/3 25/3.125
Florida 25/3.571 26/3.25
Tennessee 27/3.875 30/3.75

If this thread is a comedy club, who is going to come in and go all "Michael Richards"?

Wonder what CBC is doing today? LOL

If NOTHING else, this post shows that numbers can be minipulated to fit any agenda.

Great work on the research cotton. I knew other programs that some people here think are "Top Notch" would compare pretty closely, but didn't want to do the legwork last night at midnight.

Cotton????/ Question????

What are the records of those teams starting at 1999???????? I think that would be an interesting stat...

OS how are those number being manipulated? or are you saying that other numbers are manipulate?

He does not want to travel there. Applying Fulmerite logic Carl Lewis should still be on the US olympic track team based on his outstanding winning percentage in the 1980s. The same people who want everyone to get over 2005 can't get over the 1990s.

there's a lot of truth right there.

Puts us 5th. Sounds right in record and in talent (well, probably 4th above Auburn). What is 5 out of 12? Better then average, but not the best. Which is what we've been since the '98 season.

I'd have to go back and look at the win totals. The loss totals, starting with the '99 season and going through this point in '06 are:

Texas--5,3,2,2,3,1,0,3
OhioSt--6,4,5,0,2,4,2,0
USC--6,7,6,2,1,0,1,2
Miaimi--4,1,0,1,2,3,3,6
Oklahoma--5,0,2,2,2,1,4,2
LSU--8,4,3,5,1,3,2,2
Auburn--6,4,5,4,5,0,3,2
Georgia--4,4,4,1,3,2,3,4
Florida--2,3,2,5,5,5,3,1
Tennessee--3,5,2,5,3,3,6,3

not in 01 or 04, to be technical about it....now those 2 years were surrounded by mediocre/bad years in 00, 02, 03 and 05, granted...but it's not been completely void of good years....

I look at this list and see...

Lsu: Two sec titles and a nc
Auburn: sec title and undefeated season
Georgia: two sec titles
Florida: two sec titles, playing for nc
Tennessee: ...
