What are yall talking about? When Duke fires him for not getting the job done,Phil will have the door wide open.:)
Maybe his front door. By the time puke figures out that rutcliffe isn't going to cut it phil will have been put out to pasture.

As a great QB coach, and a frustrating OC. But all and all a positive for the program.

Sad but true...my original point was he led a Peyton Manningless Tennessee team to a NC. Also, betray us once (leaving for Ole Miss) shame on you, betray us twice you coach for Duke

The guy who came in and cleaned up Fulmer's mess after the 2005 season. If he hadn't come back, I'm not so sure Fulmer could have found anyone else good enough to get things straightened back out before the whole program was wrecked beyond repair.

I hope he does well at Duke, and I hope we find someone new as OC who can take the offense to the next level.

I will remember Cutcliffe as the Offensive Coordinator when Tennessee won a National Champtionship in the 1998 season.

Remember the good times not the bad.

I will remember Cutcliffe as inconsistent. He would call good in the 1st half and then horrible in the 2nd half. I think hes a good guy but overrated as an OC.

Ridiculous, any assistant coach in the country would have left to be head coach for an SEC school, that's not "betrayal".

I'll forever wonder if we would have won the 1998 NC if he had coached that game. Couldn't see those two bombs from Tee to Peerless if Cut were calling the plays...

I will remember him as the guy who Peyton Manning said is a great coach and OC and helped mold him into one of the best QB's in the NFL. Oh yeah, and he won a NC.

If I remember correctly Peerless saying in the post game, both of those were "hot reads" by he and Tee, they werent actually called plays, and on the second one, the one that went for the TD, they read wrong, as FSU had "baited" us to "try it again" and had the safety that was supposed to sneak over, but didnt make it in time or something and we burnt them anyway.

Didn't Cutcliffe bring those 2 coaches with him from Ole Miss?
