How will we match up against Wisconsin

well losing 6 players only cost us 2 points in Vegas.

When I was there two weeks ago, the line was 3.5 for the Vols..

Now it's moved down to 1.5

Believe that we need to get up early on these guys kinda like the GA game (14 or better points). Force them into passing instead of their bread and butter. If this is a close game they probably pull it off in the end. And with our starting DT and LB out we will be vulnerable to the screen.

Man i just realized that karl is banged up and mccoy is out. What does wisconsin do well, they run the ball. I'am officially worried now.

I believe we can

GO VOLS

Im not saying that Wisconsin is a "big time" team, but I would have to disagree that Michigan would be more of a challange then us. We did beat them this year. Illinois is a very good team THIS year, but to call them a "big time" team after one season is a bit over the top. We are not as fast as we were when we blew past Auburn 2 years ago, but win or loose, I hope UT fans come away from this game with a different view of Wisconsin football. We do like to pound the ball, but we also have some speed to go along with it. I think it should be a good game that could go either way. Have a Merry Christmas!

trust me, alot of us dont feel the way that the post you responded to implies.

I say we lose, everything I've seen about the game preperation has something to do with which coaches are leaving, what they are doing to prepare for their new job, or which players are leaving for NFL.(none of them are ready, we have no 1st rounders I dont know what they are thinking but that is a different topic) So it looks to me like we will get our A#@ handed to us due to lack of focus.

I want to imagine that we'll rock Wisconsin, but nothing about our recent bowl history gives me the inkling that we will.

Had I made a stab at the line without seeing anything out of Vegas, I'd of guessed about 8.5 three weeks ago and about 4.5 now after the coaching chaos and academic suspensions. UT should still be a solid favorite.

UW can win, but we're the deserved dogs in this game.

I remember about 30 years ago Lou Holtz suspended a bunch of Arkansas players before a bowl game. AR went on to win by a huge margin. Suspensions can bring a team together.

i agree that suspensions can work either way. I think it can have a real positive effect on the team, because there are guys that will be playing their asses off to really take advantage of the opportunity the suspended players gifted them.

I believe Holtz's Arkansas team beat Nebraska in the Orange bowl when he did that
