A huge last minute loss and also dealing with plenty of injuries and coaching questions. How do you think it will affect the LSU Tigers?

I am thinking this game will be a shootout. There are gonna be way more Vol fans there than LSGOO fans. I think those coaching questions hurt that team coming off a heart bresking loss like they did. TN-38 LSGOO-35

I think its much more likely to be an issue for them when the bowl game arrives. They just haven't had much time I wouldn't think to focus on that right yet.

Agree with rpvol. Look for a game at least in the mid-30's. I wouldn't be surprised to see the teams score 80 between them.

Hopefully...in a very bad way :)

I think it's going to effect them alot....we're talking about a team that has needed countless 4th downs and last minute heroics to get to where they are right now...

There not exactly a jugernaut that can win despite distractions...I think these off the field issues coupled with injuries are going to be a huge factor for this game

I hope we won't be distracted by thinking they are going to be distracted....they will come ready to play and we had better be prepared because LSU will want to make a statement by winning the SECC...I went to the last Championship game when we played them...it was not pretty. We need to be focused as if we were playing the #1 team in the country although they may not be ranked #1, they may very well play like the #1 team. GO VOLS!

I'm hoping otherwise, but if I had to bet on it, I'd put my money on them dealing with the distractions just fine.

This game kind of reminds me of the 85' Sugar Bowl.

Fulmer wants this game bad. Miles is on his way out the door. Tennessee kids are hungry to prove they can play. I would say LSU kids are thinking of alot of things, NC over, Miles to Michigan, Tennessee blowout loses to Cal, UF, and Bama.

I like our chances in this one.

Wouldn't you rather get their best game and beat them, anyway? If they come out flat and its reported that they don't care, that would cheapen it, in my view. Beat them when they play their hardest -- much more rewarding.

Wouldn't that be a positive thing for them, thinking it would be easier?

Exactly, that equals an exciting game! I don't care for a blowout on either side.

You mean like tOSU last season?

I think both teams match up fairly well in defense and special teams...

I believe it will come down to game management / quarterback play...advantage TENNESSEE...

C'mon law...I'll take the win regardless of how LSU plays...

Did the OSU playing their worst game of the season last year spoil the NC for you?

I don't think you have to worry about a blowout in this one on either side but who knows the way this season has gone. Sure I'd love to beat them at their best but to be honest I don't think we can beat them if they play their best game, so for this game I hope their best includes 4 turnovers, 3 missed FGs, 2 blocked punts and 100 yds in penalties....:)

I'm not talking about equal talent and players. I just mean that its more fun to beat a team that plays its best and has no excuses than to beat one where people later whine, yeah, but they were depressed because they lost that overtime game the week before and were out of the national title hunt, or yeah but their coach was leaving and they didn't care.

They might not have played their best game, but no one says they didn't because they were sad.

OSU played their best. The Big Ten is a fraud.

They might not have played their best game, but no one said it was because they were sad. That's all I'm saying -- you don't want people being dismissive of a win based on something goofy like that.

I agree with you Law. However, I just think the Big Ten was exposed last year for what it really is. Overrated.

 The same thing could happen this year. I mean as of the current standings they haven't beaten anyone in the top 20.
