How will LSU respond with all of the distractions?

I hope our players are watching the second half of Atlanta 2001
over
and
over
and
over
and

If UT isn't motivated to play every second of this game as though their lives depended on it, then nothing will get them to care. I seriously doubt they need anyone to remind them of how privileged they ought to consider themselves to be or how much they need to focus on the task at hand. This is a team that at one point looked like it would struggle to be bowl eligibile and now they are 60 minutes away from being SEC champs and going to a BCS bowl.

LSU is not out of the NC picture. With a dominant performance against UT they could jump OSU.

First game results don't matter. Overall season does. Doesn't it hurt to see that disappointing season? Doesn't it hurt to once be discussed as title contenders only to be dropped from the polls altogether?

Yeah it must suck...

I was pulling for you after our game...I would have rather seen Cal win the Pac-10 than anyone...if nothing else just to make us look better..

What happened to ya'll? You were about 1 inch from #1 then you just fell off the face of the planet...

BTW...it's a little early but what do you expect from next year? Who's back and who(Jackson) do you expect to leave early?

the longshore injury cost us a couple of games (tedford never should have played a gimpy longshore against UCLA and ASU especially with our backup being having 10X longshores natural ability), but the biggest problem was lack of depth on defense, and lack of leadership. This team essentially gave up after the OSU loss. Pathetic.

Jackson is definetly going pro IMO. Forsett is gone. Hawkins and Jordan are gone. Longshore is back which isn't neccesarilly great considering his career 1-11 TD-INT record career in the 4th quarter. The oline and defense should be improved. Best should be a good RB. We're probably looking at an 8-4 style season.

Wouldn't you rather get their best game and beat them, anyway? If they come out flat and its reported that they don't care, that would cheapen it, in my view. Beat them when they play their hardest -- much more rewarding.
:eek:lol:
You mean like tOSU last season?
At least we weren't out of it after the first game
:eek:lol:

y'all are killing me this morning. i'm for whatever = TN Winning. i'd be reminding LSU's D about how Tom OSbourne was in Baton Rouge this weekened to discuss the job with BP, i'd be reminding the entire team how LM hasn't definitively said he's coming back next year. I'd remind them of how they blew their NT shot, at home, last week. i'd remind them that no matter what OSU and WVU are too far ahead. I'd remind them that DAllas is a great in January.

so, yes, i want as many distractions, injuries, banged up players, coaching questions, upset about missing NT game issues as possible.

i would LOVE a TN blow out. I would be far more entertained by that than anything else, and i'm sure my heart would appreciate it after the last two weeks.

screw entertainment value. i want the belt.

Go Vols.
Beat LSU.

I don't think you have to worry about a blowout in this one on either side but who knows the way this season has gone. Sure I'd love to beat them at their best but to be honest I don't think we can beat them if they play their best game, so for this game I hope their best includes 4 turnovers, 3 missed FGs, 2 blocked punts and 100 yds in penalties....:)

Agree 100%

I would rather see a Blow out so bad that we put our second string in against them rather than see a ALL out performance and barely scrape out a win.

But, I'll take either...

They have decent talent on D don't they? I can honestly say that I know next to nothing about the Bruins.

They took a 40 pt. beatdown from Utah and lost to the worst Golden Domer team in modern history at home no less...tells you about all you need to know.
