How Was The New Party Deck? Pics?

Worked for the Chop House at Turner Field

Of course, that don’t cost hundreds per head.
I imagine they’ll fiddle around with it until they find the right balance of experience vs price. I’m guessing they can only accommodate 100 people or so. They will be able to find that many takers if they give them anything at all worth anything.

it should work out awesomely for those who do not really care about being engaged in the game the whole time, and are more concerned about socializing.

The new west sideline stand around areas looked useless to me. I counted about 20 people in each little area. I don't see how they could see the game behind the team.

Why wouldn't they put bar stools at the high tops?
I've been to events like that. Just high tops for three or four to socialize and have a drink. It's all good for about 45 mins then you're ready to move on.
I'll pass

Most baseball stadiums nowadays have these party decks... but baseball is a slower sport. For football, I don't wanna miss a single play. Do NFL stadiums have these party decks?...

I am going with a buddy from work to the FL game. He has tickets in this area. I guess I can give a good idea after it on how it is. I will agree that it does appear it needs some kind of tall stools.

I was told by someone who went there that they have that stadium open year round because they have mall style shopping and restaurants.

They do tours, etc pretty much every day where there is not some kind of event going on.l

My seats are right beside the party deck. I was texting a friend of mine about the deck during the game and my extact words to him were that it looked painful. There are ZERO chairs or seats of any kind in that area. You have to stand the entire time. Most people I saw come in would find a spot to stand and not move the rest of the night. There isnt food specific for that area, just beer, at least as far as I could see. You have to leave the deck to get food. At trust me as a long time upper deck season ticket holder, the lines in the upper deck can get long for very sparse selection of food. View attachment 486169
The tiered part at left where people are actually hanging out, looks like it'd be a cool place to put in four-tops like they're supposed to put in at Lindsey Nelson.

Why is everyone confused about the lack of seats. It had been started from the beginning it was a standing room only section. It only had the bars to lean on if you want relief.

I recall when Lucas Oil was built here in Indianapolis and they incorporated the same kind of party deck.
The first few games it was well received then towards the end of the season the 'new' was wearing off.
That's when Colts management shook things up a little and added different concession offerings at the stands around that area.

The next year they added some different seating options, next couple of years they added a dedicated concession area on the deck, then started doing things more personal experience centered as well (like dedicated programs, dedicated Wi-Fi for deck fans, etc.). In other words it has been a work in progress and steadily improved over the years - I expect the same for Neyland as well.

One thing the Colts did, and I'm not sure how UT could pull this off, is there are restroom facilities literally right outside of the party deck area at both ends. Not 100% sure where the deck in Neyland is located, but I would think having modern facilities very close to the deck area would be a huge boost.
Well, if you have to pay an extra $110 above your ticket purchase to have acces, they better come up with something quick. What it cost us to sit facing the setting sun in the UGA game last year in the upper visitor side line section just below visitors sky box was plenty expensive by itself.

The few people that I talked too who had tickets there last night, loved it. Last year at the Basketball tournament, my tickets allowed access to a similar type arrangement and I found it very nice.

According to the Tennessee Fund, access to the deck for the season is $1950 per seat....but no actual seat...lol!

Yeah I passed on them this year just to wait-and-see. Would not be a bad deal if it came with premium food and drink…and of coarse some bar top seating for the faint of heart.

I haven’t seen it yet but shouldn’t a area like that maybe have it’s own specific food options? It’s own line for alcohol? Having to leave the area to grab things makes it sound pointless no? I’m sure they’ll continue to add things to it

I thought it was great. PLENTY of room. No wait for a beer. The only negative was no seating. I think they’ll eventually add some type of attached seating that can’t be thrown over the deck.
