How much more can Hype do to get Milton right?

I have a feeling he will start against Bama, so my question is, can Hype give him more advice during practice this week? Can he actually pull the trigger on his arm to get that ball to the receivers downfield without over shooting them. How much more can Hype do to get this corrected in practice? He is probably going to have to really practice starting today and a lot more trying to get it right. Man, I love his arm, but if he could just throw it accurately, he would be a superstar. I said he would be starting this week, because it’s just that feeling you know? If he does, is this his last chance to get it right in practice? Does he know this? Do we pull for him to get it right one last time if he starts?

Short slant passes, side line passes maybe a ew 20yrders & Hope Evans and the Mays brothers are back.
Deep passes, roll back and out 5-10yrds and by the time he throws it the WR should be in place to catch it.

I say give him a chance to air it out. Alabama's secondary is their biggest weakness. I'd come out and sling it to check them a few times and put them on notice. While his throws were not perfect on Saturday, they were much more in-range than his previous ones.

You know? You’re right. I think during practice, let him throw dink and dunk passes, short passes, and then open it down field for a while this week. Let him do this everyday for hours, if he has time? Got to work his arm in practice. I think he has no choice but to get it right this week. This may be his last chance to work his way back in to the fold with the fans, players, coaching staff.

One more chance. I’ll go with you on that one. Just let him go airing it out. What do we have to lose now?

I think he needs to get himself ready. He clearly spends time in weight room based off his physique. Less of that is necessary for good qb play. He needs time beyond practice with a couple of his receivers in their off time working on catching and routes and timing. And if none come out with him place buckets or something and just throw after throw to targets. And watch film.

Yeah against Bama even if we had won every game to this point we still would be double digit under dogs to Bama. But with how things have played out thus far and our record being about exactly as predicted preseason and maybe even 1 more win than predicted by some. Let that ball fly and see if he maybe connects.

You know, I forgot about the bucket scheme, and yes, he needs to work with routes on off practice with the receivers for a while. My question is, is that can he and these receivers find time to work alone together in a nice quiet place? They really need this this week. He needs it bad this week, to get his confidence right. To get him back in the fold, a good game by him against Bama would pull him back in here with hope that he cleans it up. It’s simple: to me, this is his last chance to get it right, and to pull me back in with him.

We’re going to have to air it out a lot in this game. Let it fly.

Regardless of who steps under center Saturday, Tennessee is going to have be very aggressive on offense. They're going to have to air it out multiple times to score. Alabama's secondary is very weak.

If he could be fixed, he'd already be fixed.

I have zero hope for a guy that has been playing football at the highest levels for as long as he has, and runs the ball out of bounds on the final play of the game with the clock at 0.00.
So, that’s it for you? Do you have just an inch of hope for him this week? We may have no choice, except to give him one more chance.

There is hope that we can beat their secondary a lot. Milton is going to have to get that ball out quickly though, and with a strong arm he can do that, but he can’t throw it 150 mph on short routes either. Get it out quickly down field, but get it to the receivers.

He has got to get his head on straight!

If he can get a handle on that speed throwing crap and place some throws, this game could get interesting. A&M did it very well and torched that secondary.

Strap that helmet on, and get it right. He has to focus starting today. He has to focus on everything he does this week to get his arm right. You know, he may be working hard this week to do everything he can to make it right.

He has that arm to torch that secondary, and he has to slow it down on those short routes. Throwing the ball a 100 mph isn’t going to get you any bonus points. Our receivers needs soft touches delivered to their hands, and deep throws delivered to their shoulders. and put on their number soft our chance.

Milton has no hope

Now, that ain't fair. Folks used to say the same of me. But it was a lie. I hoped for many things, which often I never got. That includes my ongoing hope of winning the Mega Bucks lottery, and receiving the winnings lump sum and tax-free. Likely will never happen, but I hope it does. Nobody knows what the Milt man hopes for. Miracles do happen after all. I mean, I once won $10,000. No I'm not joking. But it wasn't tax-free, unfortunately. Good luck to you. Milt man, may you experience udder success.

I tend to say I will believe in our Vols even when I have no reason to do so. Therefore:

I used to be on an endless run.
Believe in miracles 'cause I'm one.
I have been blessed with the power to survive.
After all these years I'm still alive.

I'm out here kickin' with the band.
I am no longer a solitary man.
Every day my time runs out.
Lived like a fool, that's what I was about.
I believe in miracles

Well, like Sarah Silverman says: "it could happen."
