I think that's a pretty accurate number. Maybe over if they play lights out

I am going out on a limb here and predicting our sack totals may be about the same or down a little from last year. Why? I believe by mid season, few OCs are going to risk many passes. I think when we do see passes from mid season on, they'll be roll outs and screens, but we will not see too many drops and throws. Our DL is going to be tearing people up on the run and pass, but we'll be making most offenses look silly trying to throw against us. We'll see a few gimmick liberty and flea flicker type plays in desperation, but I doubt seriously we'll get many sack tries mid season on is why our production will not be crazy statistically. We cant sack them if they dont pass.

I would caution everybody about tempering their expectations at the outset. Some of these expectations are products of some past flashes of talent and some are based upon anticipated talent that hasn't developed in real time yet. There is some potential energy waiting on a closed circuit where we can see watts currently in motion from this D.

Well truthfully I would imagine there are a few absolutely correct answers to this question.

I can guarantee there will be 11 sacks on the field on defense at any given time.


OR

The answer is absolutely WHO CARES this season I am more worried about how many Sacks the OLINE doesn't allow compared to last year.
