Really? With all the wonderful options out there like blackberry pie, apple, toll house pie, chocolate chess...egg custard? Ok. I respect it. I don't understand it but I respect it
See, you got it right brother. This world needs people who can disagree but still respect each other

No two ways about it VN. We go thru coaches. How long does this one last?

*Per request in another thread I have allowed people to vote twice. Incase they like pie and think coach will be fired in three years. *

you need to add 4 year - fired

Danny White is Mike Hamilton 2.0

I hope I am wrong

I suspect White is a little sharper and smoother operator than Mike Hamilton. I think CJH will be here longer than White. White strikes me as a climber. He gives off kind of a Gordon Gee vibe. If I were guessing I'd say he, White, moves on to greener, or at least different, pastures in 3 years or so. It will interesting to see what shape the CJH tenure is in at that point.

He's now the 2nd highest paid AD in the country, and he's been groomed to be an AD his whole life. The only way to move on to "greener" pastures is to be successful. If he is successful, I imagine UT will continue to make him among the highest paid ADs in the country.

Where exactly is he going to go?

As for the poll, I have decided to wait until after the first possession of the first game in 2021 to decide if CJH is a failure. Either they score or he's out.

3 years fired, maybe 2 and Danny White hits I-40 with him.

A good offense will have him survive the hot seat of year three. In year 4 he will bring a Sal Sunseri level DC in and crash and burn

I think he will be a winner if he gets a good staff and lets them do their job.
Also, lemon meringue.

Who knows, maybe he surprises us all and retires after 20 seasons as one of the most storied UT Coaches of all time and be reverently have our pictures taken in front of his 7 NC trophies in the UT Sports Complex. We gotta hit the jackpot some day after all. Maybe this is it. No sense in imaging the worst. Fun to sometimes imagine the best. Someday, our number comes up. Dream a little while he is still undefeated 🙂

Even better. A mercenary. Great.

I feel like a hooker with this athletic program.

I said more than 7. Mostly because I believe Danny White will be here long term and he's not gonna give up on JH after 3 or 4 years. And I believe by year 5 JH and if there's been a good amount of staff stability will start to have success.

If he does last 7+ years, that will be the only reason... Letting an AD hire his buddy is not a good practice. He will shy away from firing him when it needs to happen.

I didn't mean to imply that I don't think he'll be successful. Some people just seem like they've always got an eye on the next job. He kind of strikes me that way.
