How is LaDarrell McNeil doing?

I've got no insider information, but my prediction is that he'll make some big hits on special teams and by about game 4 will be # 3 safety. Assuming the coaching staff is still here next year, he'll be starting next year and will be great.

Phillips prob will too, but I think it'll be a couple weeks before he does. Seems pretty out of shape.

I don't see many freshman receivers contributing much since we have the big three. Maybe on special teams. Phillips is way out of shape and won't be ready for awhile.

DD said only about 8-10 freshman will play which is about normal....the past two years he said he has been playing 17-18 which is what you don't want to happen but he had no choice

He's looked good for a freshman. Making freshman mistakes like most do and learning the system.

One freshman that I have heard mentioned specifically by name is Cody Blanc. Hinshaw singled him out as a contributor in the slot for the upcoming season.
