How do we feel about this? USA Today Garbage

I don’t think Heupel goes anywhere, but I understand the thinking/premise of this article. If you’re Heupel and had the chance to land another gig of this sort you kind of have to consider it. I think this is the best job of any available. For one it restarts your clock so to speak and we already have a loud minority trying to put him on the hot seat. And two, it’s all about the playoffs now. The path is much clearer at Penn State than it will be here, especially once it moves to 16 teams. Can almost pencil them in most years.

Just look at their schedule next year. They have two losable games all season. Michigan and USC (two middle of the pack SEC type schools)

The SEC going to a 9 game league schedule while Penn State and other BIG schools play that schedule is laughable.

I take my first sentence back after typing this out. If he was offered this gig, I think he would take it (I don’t think he’s considered unless we finish 9-3)

I mean, when a drunk, stupid, obnoxious, and loud part of the fan base takes to social media, message boards, etc to say "fffaaaaaahhhhrrrrrr Hiiiighpuuullllll" after a loss, this is what you get. Despite it being a small minority, they are loud and repeat it over and over for 48 hours or so. So people see that and think what a group of dumbasses. I would tell someone I like to stay away or get away from dumbasses. So in that lens, this article makes sense.

Im sure Josh knows the vast majority of us are behind him. Him and Danny are like peas and carrots (to quote Forrest Gump) so Im sure we're good here.

If he leaves because of fan pressure, he doesn’t have what it takes to win anything of significance, anyway. He’s not going to do that, so I don’t know why everyone’s whining about it. He wouldn’t do it because he’s not a complete pansy, not to mention he’s in pretty tight with the White family.

It's sad but at all not surprising that a click-bait article - from the USA Today, no less - got five pages on this board. I can't imagine that Josh would even consider moving on (especially after he gets a salary bump from DW if there was indeed interest) because of the class he has coming in, including another 5-star QB (one who doesn't appear to be a diva) and a 5-star WR.

We should be flat out loaded moving forward, and unless there is something we don't know about going on internally, it's hard to imagine that Josh would want to leave this job unfinished.

I’m pretty sure the guy who wrote this article posts on here about everyday under multiple names.

I just want to see Josh make some small changes to some in game stuff. Defensively, I think we would have fared far better without the injuries in our secondary. The younger guys were just young and Boo has been a liability this season. The mere mention of letting Josh go is a poorly thought out, knee jerk reaction. Completely absurd.

Hell, I remember just a few years ago we prayed for only 5 losses.
Yep. Just after we got caught paying players while everyone else in the SEC got away with it. NIL evened everything. Now we’re one of the most stable programs in the country again.
