No one ever said he would never leave Boise. It was stated and continues to be stated that he would never leave the Pacific Northwest.
Also, his kid's doctors have been there for years. They aren't going to just up and leave the Pacific Northwest and move to a new place with new doctors.
Yeah who wants a proven winner like Miles.
Better to hire the young guy who might be bad than the old guy you know is bad. Go ask an LSU fan how they feel about Les Miles and why. Bet you change your tune.
Won a NC with Saban's players and never fielded even a decent offense the entire remaining time.
He interviewed for the SC job before the Washington job opened up. The Pacific Northwest thing is nonsense. Also his son has been perfectly healthy since 2013.
I've read he's partial to the West Coast. That's where his relationships and recruiting ties are.
More importantly, UT is unlikely to win a bidding war with UW over Peterson right now.
Most importantly, if you're going to throw big money around for that level of coach... throw the bank at Franklin.

Underdeveloper of only quarterbacks...
Poor O scheme....
Inability to hire the right assistants....
Questionable game day coaching....
Consistently lose to top coaches....
Consistently lose 1-3 games per season than he should...
Someone who consistently looks MUCH better on national signing day than any game day....
I think we've seen enough of that for a while.

Yet they have stated that they are staying there with one of the major reasons being the medical team that his kid had for years.
There is a reason that Petersen has refused to leave the Northwest.
I'm still shocked LSU hired Les Miles,.... from Okie State, where he was :
4-7
8-5
9-4
7-5
Now I'm shocked they hired Orgeron, They have talent lining up at the gates to get in and they keep hiring these guys. Whatever
He refused? Why did he want the USC job before getting the UDUB job? Again, his son has been perfectly healthy since 2013.
Going to LA isn't that far of a reach from the Northwest. Its a 2 hour private jet trip. Secondly, given the journey his kid has gone through medically, they have stated over and over again they want to stay close to the doctors and medical team.
Are you calling Chris Petersen a liar when it comes to his kids' health history?
You said he wouldnt leave the Pacific Northwest, thats incorrect. Secondly, Im saying his son Sam, whos now a senior in high school, has not had medical issues since 2013. Petersen said as much when he took the job in Seattle in December 2013.
Hiring Les Miles would be like hiring Fulmer again. Both were good at winning the games they were suppose to. Both had a team they struggled to beat year in and year out.

Don't want these upstart wannabees Vol Nation posters are enamored of.
We've had enough of that over the last 10. Our brand can't take it anymore.
Get a guy who knows how to run a program, has won a lot of big games and trophies, and can bring in players and coaches.
This is not complicated.
1. Les Miles
2. Jeff Fischer
3. Les Miles
4. Mike Shanahan
5. Les Miles
6. Rex Ryan
7. Les Miles

Im right about Michigan
1 NC since 1948, and it was shared.
Hatbaugh overrated as QB and HC.
Won all his games at SF on Kaepernicks legs.
