Heupel = Dabo

Dabo has 2 National titles to his name, get back to me when Heuple even sniffs an SEC Championship appearance. Dabo might be slow to adapt, but at least he has a ton of equity to fall back on. Heuple milking a 2022 Bama win until the tit is dry.

Wait what exactly is your point? Do you even know? You started the thread comparing Heupel to a coach who infamously refused to embrace the transfer portal but now you are saying that we don't have the money to compete in the NIL transfer portal. So WTF are you saying? That Heupel refuses to embrace the new reality of college football OR that he has not been given the resources to do so?
Newsflash: both can be true at the same time.

Both refuse to either load up on portal talent as a necessary part of CFB now, or, they're both not not viewed as great portal options from portal players (assuming they try).

It's well-known Dabo has tried to forgo the portal and instead recruited 90% HS--boosters are not happy and calling for his head because of it. It's been a slow burn but not working out well for him and the Clemson faithful.

Heupel is following in these very footsteps. Lackluster portal results yet again, not much interest from portal players, and still digging in and trying to majority-recruit HS players as if it were still 2022.

Both are dinosaurs and both will not survive the current trajectory. Look and see what happens to Dabo in the next year or two, and Heupel is close to follow.
I do not agree, this staff has used the portal, they didn't get everyone they wanted.

Heupel has often look to the portal, I don't understand this post.

Dabo literally has job security to the level of he decides when his time at Clemson is over, not Clemson. Heupel very well could be out of here in 2 seasons.

Comparing them in anyway is asinine.

You are so wrong and probably even know it. We are going to have 1st and 2nd round picks we got from the portal. ONL was a 3rd last year. Most of the people who read this are in the know. Dabo REFUSED to use the portal for years. There is no comparison. Do just a bit of research. Like others have said, it is day freaking 3 of the portal being opened.
How many wins a year does it buy us when someone is drafted early?

This is NOT a good take. Somewhat, if we collapse in the portal. But, Josh Heupel has been masterful in the portal if one considers the dumpster fire inherited. We were decimated and he built us into a playoff contender in literally 2 years and had us ranked #1 for a moment. Masterful. And he did it bia the transfer portal. Last year not earth shaking. But, we have a net + in takes v losses in the portal so far.

I am losing faith a bit. If he intends to bring Maurice Sims to our program and to keep Elarbee, he clearly is missing something.

Btw Georgia and Ohio State only have 1 portal addition so far.

What a joke of an argument. We are going to have 2 first round nfl draft picks from the transfer portal this year.
