Why? He has been here more than 1 year, that would make this his 2nd year and a year after the first approval poll was made.
Overall I like the first year but Heupel needs to improve in-game decisions. It cost us a couple of games even with the bad refereeing that occurred in the same games.

Shows how good of a job CJH is doing. He’s United NegaVols and Sunshine Pumpers.

I did not think he could turn the program around from where he entered in 1 year. Totally impossible. He has turned a program everyone was fleeing into a place where a 5 star QB would want to go. We can thank his offensive genius. IMO he won the X/O battle in the 1st quarter in every game last season. If the starting QB had emerged quicker he might have won 2 more games which is really over the top.

Should be a pretty high approval rating after todays 5-star QB commit.

It kind of settles the question if he can recruit at a high level. I sure the NIL deal didn't hurt either, but what QB wouldn't want to play in Heupel's offense. I expect some high-level WRs to follow.

One high level recruit does not a class make. Or a recruiter.
One wonders if at some point a lack of high level big uglies will have an effect.
QBs need to feel protected, they like having clean jerseys.
WRs like to have time to get separation from coverage.
RBs like big holes and pancakes.
O linemen need love too.

Kind of hard to vote on year 2 since the season hasn't even started. So I'll wait on my vote until after the season

I will say I was pleased with year 1. It was beyond my expectations, and was a few plays away from being a couple or 3 more wins.

That said, this year I think will be a great measuring stick on where we are going under Heupel. I think this coming year we will really find out what kind of coach he is. Not a lot of people are talking about it, but the loss of Velus Jones and Javonta Payton i think will end up hurting more than we realize. We also replace Cade on an OL that was already extremely thin with players and talent. Even with Hooker, Tilman and Small back on O, we have a lot of production lost. It'll be intersting to see if and how the freshman coming in can help and contribute.

Defense again will be a challenge. In fact, we really have to get a lot better on that side of the ball or we're looking at 6 or 7 wins at best next year.

I need to see a 9 win season this year to feel good about where we're headed under Heupel. I think a lot of it hinges on the coaching if we're going to get there. We aren't beating Bammer or UGA yet. But if we can 2 out of 3 against UF, Pitt and LSU, we can get to 9 and I don't think that's unreasonable if the coaches can get the most out of this team.

I also think we should kick the newly committed quarterback off the team because we can’t protect him. Poor guy.

Can we not preemptively fire him now because he’s not likely to take us to the Super Bowl? Bunch of goofballs.
