few years back at TN, i was in the middle of the GA section and they threw nacho dip on my head, coke on my back, yelled and spit all game. I will forever hate GA after that day.
It's been well established that Florida has some of the worst fans in the country. After multiple visits to that rat hole known as Gainesville, I can attest to it.
As a UF fan, I will admit we have some terrible fans. We have a ton of bandwagon fans that never attended the school and think they are gators. We have people who only follow the team when we are winning. Most annoying are the ones that don't respect being in someone else's stadium (the sense of entitlement at UF is at an all time high and it's ridiculous). It's not right and I'm sorry if there were any idiots that ruined anyone's experience.
Thanks for the personal insult.
That's really classy.
So in 2010 it's cool for UT students to group chant with F bombs because of something UF students did back in the early 90s.....that makes sense.

Every team has the worst fans when you continually lose to them...I bet it burns you up even more when said team isn't even playing up to their potential and still defeats you by 2 td's in your own house
now hold on
'turds have been publicly denying this for years, despite the fact that it was the reason for the rule change about where opposing teams could sit, but now we have an admission of guilt?
mods, please make this a sticky.
My first year as a student I went to the Florida game and some of the Florida fans started cheering when one of our players got hurt.
To this day I still get boiling mad about that.
I have been to dozens and dozens of games in my 20 years of life and they are still the ONLY fanbase I have ever seen that cheers when a player gets hurt.
There is no excuse for that none
Not sure if this belongs in this thread but this a great anecdote from yesterday's game..
I was making my way through the throngs of the concourse during halftime when I found myself behind typical Toolbag College boy, his 2 buddies and one clueless girl.
They just so happened to be Florida fans.
This kid had the outfit down. Justin Beiber mop top hair, Blue shorts, Button down plaid shirt, designer sandals, and to top it all off, a straight brimmed hat cocked completely sideways....You all know the type of guy i'm describing
They were being tools just standing in eveybody's way and acting like idiots when a TN Fan walked by and grabbed the kid's hat and turned it straight on his head!
The kid looked around asking who did that like he was going to fight they guy. The TN fan just looked him dead in the eye and said "I did." The kid just kind kind stood there with his buddies with a what the hell do i do now look on his face until i chimed in to get "his a$$ out of the way".
Much respect to whoever turned the hat around the right way. The look on the kid's face was priceless.
Florida fans continue to be just as classless and disrespectful as their beloved team is.
I for one do not want you in my state, let alone my stadium. It's a game. It's a sport. Show some respect win, lose or draw...I don't care if you are in Knoxville, Starkville, or Athens. Why is it that 99.99999999% of Florida fans cannot come to a visiting campus for a mutually enjoyable game. YOU are the ones that ruin the experience for everyone else. Tasteful ribbing and banter back and forth is healthy; however, class and character go a long way and it's something that must be lacking in all Florida fans.
DocVol, thank you for everything you've said... Yesterday I was so livid at the those other so-called fans, they showed NO respect for being in OUR house.. None & all of them, including the way their traveling band did is nothing but classless.. the prez of uf should be so proud, DH and I were wondering if they served up in classes on how to be a pain in the arse, classless, drunk and totally disrespectful of being on someone else's campus.. and to the UT season tickets holders that "SOLD OUT" TO gator fans, you should be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!! They were frickin everywhere from the skybox, terrace and all around... talk about some sad fans, why do you even donate and sell out? I'd rather burn my tickets than sell to the enemy.. hell, they were even parking in L9 and that lot is for the big time donors.. what a sad sad thing.. we are so proud of our young, green team, it's coming folks, it's coming when we will be back on top... anybody but florida... good Lord...
GO VOLS..
GO BIG ORANGE .....
We are Vol fans and we brought friends for their first Vol game. We were treated terribly by the Vol fans around us. I was really shocked by the way our fellow fans acted. We weren't standing up unless the rest of the crowd was standing, we weren't acting obnoxious or drinking, just enjoying the game and sharing the experience with friends. The people behind us were drunk and cussed at us, shoved their knees in our backs repeatedly and asked us if we liked it, and were just awful. When they left, the people around us said they act like that every week. I was ashamed that my fellow fans would act like that. Can't imagine if opposing fans had been in those seats. I told my friends that not all Vol fans act like that but they aren't anxious to get back to Neyland.
