With the sheer talent alone on the Florida side compared to the lack of talent on the Tennessee defensive side yes. Yes it is. Are there concerns? Sure but if your first thought was to bash the vols after a W with one of our most hated rivals then you’re either a troll or so miserable you’re not worth engaging with.

Anyone happy with how our defense is playing against decent opponents needs to get real. They have to get better. A LOT better. I’m sure none of you will be in here talking about what we did wrong when we get beat. Lol.

Bash? Where the f did anyone bash them? Some people realize the defense needs a lot of work. Not buying the talent issue bs. lol. Then don’t engage me.

In those 16 losses how many times did we outperform FL and come out on the losing end. More than 1/2 of those games. Many of us have been on this side of the fence several times and FL found a way to win. So it is time to come back to the reality that all in all it is the final score nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else.

Not buying talent issue? Their offense is loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits man. Richardson himself is a 4 star. We have 1 4 star or better in the DBs. Our line has multiple 4 stars and they went toe to toe with Florida. Talent was a huge factor in that matchup.

The game has evolved and finally we have a coach who has evolved with it. I am thrilled we actually won. The way the end of the game played out was not ideal. We squeaked out a win, when in reality, it should’ve been a comfortable victory. However, let it not overshadow the win.

The zone played right into Richardson's hands and we see the result. He can't make throws that require tight windows like man to man for the most part. But quite a few of his completions, the pass catcher ran to a spot and just sat down, literally in some cases, to give him a simple target to throw towards. We made it as easy as possible for a QB who lacks accuracy.

We conceded pass plays to contain AR. From the replays you could tell they were all keeping an eye on him.

Room for improvement definitely as too many times the Vol defenders were close to the WR but not close enough to impact the play. I am hopeful this is improved by the coaching staff over the next few weeks

If you aren’t buying the lack of talent on defense, you haven’t been paying attention. Again if Burrell was starting last year and the beginning of this year, that tells you all you need to know about the cornerbacks. We have very little depth at all DB and LB positions. Yes it needs plenty of work but a good bit of that will be mitigated with more talent. End of discussion.

We can all agree the secondary needs to improve but as long as the D can get enough stops to make our offensive points stand up, we win. Who cares if UF put up 600 yds, they lost. Lets just be happy.

If I was a Florida fan I’d be concerned with Napier’s insane decisions. First, he decides to try to be a helicopter and essentially ensures that Tennessee scores regardless of the review. Then he randomly decides to go for two down 17(?). What does that accomplish? A 50+ yard field goal isn’t a gimme, but it’s certainly more probable than a Hail Mary.

Lol. You know what they say about excuses. These guys were recruited and are D1 athletes. Guys running wide open isn’t a talent issue. Giving up 5 4th down conversions isn’t a talent issue.

Obviously winning yesterday was fun and deserves to be celebrated, but there’s nothing wrong about this statement. The only drives we stopped UF on were a fumble in the redzone and a broken play where the offensive line didn’t block on 3rd and long right before half. Defense is very concerning going forward. We can recognize that while also celebrating yesterday’s big win.
