Here’s the thing not many people probably want to hear

Have seen nothing so far out of Florida that impresses me.

Agreed. We break the Swamp curse this year. Napier won't even be coaching there when we play them and they will have a losing record. Stadium will be half filled. Luckily, for the first time in a long time Tennessee and Florida are trending in different directions.

Run down teams this year
#1 OSU beat #7 Texas
#2 PSU has played Air
#3 LSU beat a then #4 Clemson who just lost to unranked GaTech
#4 Oregon has played Air
#5 Miami beat #4 Notre Dame
#6 Georgia beat #15 VOLS
#7 Texas is overrated offense not good
#8 Notre Dame barely beat TA&M #16
#9 Illinois has played air
#10 FSU beat then #8 bama
#11 USC got curb stomped by Vandy
#12 Clemson lost to unranked GAtech
#13 OK beat Michigan
#14 Iowa Stare beat then #17 Kansas Stare who since then lost to Army and Arizona

So who above this is really better than us?
OSU
PSU
MIAMI
OREGON
GEORGIA
NOTRE DAME
OK - will find out
FSU

We would beat
Texas - overrated
Illinois
Iowa State
LSU - they did not impress me against Florida

I think we are a top 10 team. We won’t be ranked top 10 but we are playing at that level.
AM won bud

We have given up 70 points to (2) passing teams. Think we have a problem in the secondary? Remember Rattler in 2022 when SC passed us to death.
We definitely need a lot of upgrades in our secondary. Thought JH went to conservative in the final drive. Putting the game in the kickers hand?
I would have given the ball to GA. in the overtime first. JH should have known that a FG was not going to win the game.

Although I am disappointed, I am also proud.. if things are logical, Georgia should go down in ranking at least five spots and we should go up about five spots.. because according to the scoreboard, we were pretty evenly matched. Girl math.

Our first team all American corner is out and so is the second corner. We started a true freshman yesterday. Against UGA. That’s thrown to the wolves. They knew it and picked on him from the very first play. If we have McCoy and Gibson we win. I honestly think we would’ve won by more than a TD if those guys were healthy and available.

It also may come down to who we beat. We need to beat someone that will finish in top 10. B1G still has a slew of teams in contention like Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, etc. SEC has a slew of teams as well. I feel like we are going to have to be 10-2 to be safe.

We will have to beat two out of OK, AL, and FL, in which case the loss to UGa won't hurt as much if they truly stick with strength of schedule. The issue is the Big 10's creampuff schedules, all of them playing two, maybe three tough games all season.

Penn State opened with three FCS teams, then a week off before Oregon at home - the fact that schedules like that are rewarded while the SEC is cannibalizing itself weekly is the biggest problem with the system IMO.

BuT they PlAy 9 CoNferEnce games will be the lame excuse.

If any of these teams watch film of the game, they will pass us to death. The entire SEC looks very tough this year.

We've still gotta win in Gainesville and Tuscaloosa, something we haven't done in forever. Just like today, until we prove we can win against those 3 they have to be considered losses. Hope I'm wrong
Florida does seem to have our number. If I’m being honest though that OU game scares me more at home.

We’re a pretty damn good football team.

Georgia is a damn good team probably a top five team in the country. They have one of the best coaches in the country if not the best coach right now. Despise all the complaints from fans the scheme was good enough to win, our execution just wasn’t. We’re going to get healthy and be a thorn in the ass for anyone else we play this year.
Team played relentlessly against a loaded Georgia juggernaut, which last year also destroyed texas in Austin and beat then at the sec game and had a bad unlucky game that prevented it frI’m going to the championship game .
No one quit !!! the team is resilient and never gives up . FG was a damper but this is football . heupel is not to blame but he needs to look for a better DC next season . 38 points should have won it .

Yeah, a few more catches/slightly more accurate passes and we win. Got a bit unlucky on calls being roughly even too. That play Matthews got his helmet taken off was some garbage
None of that mattered. Gilbert makes that kick 9 out of 10 times, and the false start moving it back 5 yards had nothing to do with it - he simply choked.

Playing 9 games in that conference guarantees you that at least 6-7 will be auto wins if you're a decent team. That (and national media Big 10 bias) pretty much explains how Illinois and Indiana will remain in the top 15, and Penn State in the top 5 all season.

If our head coach doesn’t ice his own kicker. If our DC doesn’t empty the box on that one drive where they ran the ball 13 out of 14 for a TD. If we didn’t go into a shell on offense in the 2nd quarter.

First thing I thought after the game - I love Josh, but he handled the game closing FG situation hideously. If you're going to run one more play to center the ball (a good move IMO), then he should have run the play even after the false start. Have some damn faith in your offense to execute the play!

Joey centers it, you call time out, and everything is done in rhythm, which is way more important in a pressure spot like that than the yardage - we were well in Max's range. Instead, he delays, then just sends him out with everything rushed. That kick reeked of Max being completely out of rhythm. That kid isn't a choker - this one was on Josh.

Sorry, I don't buy it. Kicking, like putting in golf, is all about routine and rhythm, and Josh got the kid completely out of his routine by rushing him out there after the penalty. In a pressure spot, that is death.

I agree the call to kick on 3rd down with :07 left and two timeouts likely surprised him, and he was already about to have a panic attack. Still, he was in control of whether he made the kick or not - and he didn't.
