We also dont need ******* fans to constantly atrack one of our players. Wish there was a transfer portal i could force some of our fans into.
Breathing must be hard for you in such rarified air.The problem in college athletics (especially D1 football) is indicative of society at large. The only thing that matters to the vast majority is the "Benjamins". The "end justifies the means". If you have to back-stab, lie, manipulate,...whatever... "It's all 'ok'. Everyone understands". Death threats from a dentally-challenged moron is not excusable. Neither is jumping ship to your school's biggest rivalry when the going gets rough. It'll be interesting what the NCAA does former UT athletes. Their eligibility could be challenged. It'll also be interesting to see his development at Alabama vs. Tenn.
Not true about Doeren. He was offered and was willing but the fans rejected the hire until Doeren pulled out and changed his mind due to the pressure.Yes, I agree........ Yes, all fan fanbases have at least a few repugnant people, but I must say UT fans have more than a few hateful fans, and absolutely relentless. Remember the Schiano slaugherfest that made national front page headlines? Well, remember after that, UT couldn't hire even an average coach, Dave Doeren and Dave Clawson being 2 examples. Nobody seemed to want it and they had to settle on Pruitt, who was way in over his head. UT is at least a top 20 destination for most coaches, but look no further than it's hostile and hateful fanbase for much of the rejection of top notch coaches unwilling to come here. It's certainly not the money, facilities or tradition, that's for sure.
Yes, it's happened other place, but we can't justify what's taken place at UT by simply saying, "Well, you know it happens other places too." It's like saying, "But, Mom, everybody else was doing it!" We need to be better... We need to do our part too! Attacking the players and tearing down the program will not help.
Where did I say he is my choice for QB?Tweets before he thinks = dumbsh*t
Emotions on sleeve = woman
Two very desirable qualities you want in a leader/qb
Got it
No one is justifying the behavior. Just pointing out that you can't escape it, as the cousin eluded to.It doesn’t matter whether other fans send just as crazy messages to their players.
Our players the last three seasons weren’t at those other schools. They were at TN, so it was TN fans they were seeing it from.
It's not a justification. It's impossible to justify threatening a stranger's life because of poor performance in a football game. You are missing the point of the statements. The cousin is eluding to the fact that Henry is escaping deranged fans. He will find those at Alabama, or anywhere else for that matter.Yes, it's happened other place, but we can't justify what's taken place at UT by simply saying, "Well, you know it happens other places too." It's like saying, "But, Mom, everybody else was doing it!" We need to be better... We need to do our part too! Attacking the players and tearing down the program will not help.

Lol @ Maurer retweeting. Dude needs to get off social media.
I like how they casually sweep transfering to the schools most hated rival under the rug by blaming fans. You think if that was a cause for concern maybe, just maybe, you wouldnt transfer to that fan bases most hated rival. It's all theatrics with these kids. Couldn't possibly be that Henry T wanted a ring and a bigger paycheck.
Who is defending the people that done that? I have seen several say it happens but I haven't seen anyone defend the action itself. I may have missed it thoI can’t believe someone would be upset about a teammate receiving death threats and be disloyal to our school!
Hey you dumba$$ athletes, to be a VFL means us fans can treat you like sh!t and you just have to take it!
Fans that defend the abovebehavior are pathetic and have sh!t for brains.
We could have hired Freeze last year. If we had, most of the guys who transferred would still be here and our 2021 class would have been stacked. Probably would have Simpson committed for 2022 as well.Yes, I agree........ Well, I would include in that crowd the people hoping that Maurer transfers because he retweeted the post about death threats. And, saying it happens at other schools is just an excuse to let it happen here. I used to think UT fans were a few notches above the bammers, but apparently their behavior is the standard if we defend it here by saying it happens there.Who is defending the people that done that? I have seen several say it happens but I haven't seen anyone defend the action itself. I may have missed it tho
Yeah dude. HT has got nothing but love on this board for sure. I can’t find a single post saying anything negative about him. It’s interesting that JG who was supposedly the target of the bad fan behavior can graduate and move on to the next stop with class and professionalism. Meanwhile a player who got nothing but love while he was here has to sling mud on his way out.
