We were also a pretty big underdog in that game facing an obviously more talented team, especially on offense. Helton was favored at home by 10.

Yes WKU is terrible and yes they still should have stomped an FCS team. We hitting both extremes today.

But regardless I'm glad to be rid of Helton so shout out to WKU for making the decision for Pruitt.

We don't know who was doing what at Usc. And First Year Coaches usually FAIL. (See ut 2018) . It was a bad loss; but time will tell.

A lot of people are saying this, and the logic is definitely sound. If that’s the case and these guys are gone than that’s certainly another reason to be optimistic for some improvement this year.

... obviously they’d have to be historically bad to regress so maybe “some improvement” is too low a bar?

Good point. Too early to tell what kind of head coach he will be. Not like he went to a good situation.
