I know there will be a million of these between now and the season…but I’m trying to get an idea of where we stand and this is what I came up with….

I’d really appreciate if those out there who are much more knowledgeable than me (which…sad to say…is probably the majority of you) would correct me in the places that I’m wrong…(I’m listing these in the order I see with the first name listed being the starter)

QB: Crompton, Coleman, Stephens
TB: A. Foster, Hardesty, Creer
FB: Cooper, A. Johnson
OT: R. Foster, R. Johnson
OT: Scott, Brimfield
OG: Parker, Richard
OG: McClendon, Myers
OC: McNeil, Pope
TE: Stocker, Cottam
WR: Briscoe, Paige, O’Neal
WR: Taylor, Moore, Jones

DE: Ayers, Brown
DE: Martin, Walker
DT: Bolden, Langley
DT: Williams, Fisher
LB: McCoy, Myers-White
LB: Wilson, Donald
LB: McKenzie, Frazier
CB: Vinson, M. Johnson
CB: Willingham, Rogan
SS: Morley, Gaines
FS: Berry, Anderson

On a side note…two things I noticed while doing this…

I’m excited…not worried…about the talent level on this team…
We are relying heavily on the awesome recruiting classes from 2005 and 2007…

Austin Rogers will be in the action at receiver, cody pope won't be 2nd string Center. There is a walk-on named Cody Sullins that it looks like has solidified that role this spring. Myers-White will probably be starting instead of McKenzie, and Wes Brown will probably be starting instead of Martin (at least to start the season)

Also, Lamarcus Thompson I believe is ahead of Chris Donald in the depth chart at Linebacker.. At least right now

Myers-White will be starting at OLB.

Donald is a MLB. Currently third behind Wilson and Reveiz.

Brown will be in front of Martin to start the season. Either way they'll rotate so much it will not matter.

O'Neal will be lucky to see the field at all.

Right now Berry is the SS and Morley is the FS.

umm.. gerald jones 3rd string?... ummm no...

I haven't heard anything to make me think otherwise...but I also haven't followed it that closely either...

You have to believe that Taylor is a lock for 1st string as well as either Rogers or Briscoe and I put Briscoe b/c Rogers is hurt from what I hear...

And I also hear Paige is looking good so that leaves one 2nd string spot and I just thought based off of last year and the lack of any news about Jones that Moore is ahead of Jones...

Jones is definitely dynamic and even if he isn't first string he needs to be on the field alot more...

Moore didn't look too hot Saturday.

Hey justin....what do you think about Jones' playing time? Will he be 1st string at any point?

I think Gerald Jones will be on the field a lot. I am just not sure if it will be as a starter or where. He might line up different places, I don't know.

I believe in the fall, WR will be more like:

WR: Taylor, Briscoe
WR: Rogers, Jones

But in 3 WR sets:

WR: Taylor, Paige
WR: Rogers, Jones
WR: Briscoe, Moore

Hmmm, Rogan had 13 KRs last year - for whatever reason I don't remember a single one.

People need to realize Austin Rogers is going to be playing no matter how they feel about it.
