Hello my name is :Tariq Owens

Well I just assumed you were a fan of nba since you were a fan of Lebron. I thought you were saying you didn't follow nba.

I think it's ok to pick a player to follow and root for in the nba instead of a team. I do something similar. I pick a team or player to root against. Jordan and the bulls were my favorite team through the 90's. Since then it's been whoever was playing the lakers, the spurs, the heat all at different times. I've bandwagon jumped around a lot. Currently my favorite teams are the spurs (who I once despised) and the grizz.

I can't do that with any sport I follow....I will be a vols, steelers, sixers, and dodgers fan till the day I die....I had a friend that bandwagonned all the time and I couldn't stand him....we would always talk trash back and forth about our teams. Every time I thought I had trash talking rights he was liking a different team.

I didn't watch NBA hardly at all pre-Lebron, followed him and really liked the guy so started watching him and rooting for him, that's it.

Nothing wrong with that. I misunderstood you.

I love the guy to in a weird way. If he's not playing, it feels like less of a game. All the greats do that to their sport. Jordan did. Tiger did. Now Lebron does. He makes it "must see TV" if you get what I'm saying.

I'm that way in college sports and with the braves although I don't follow baseball at all any longer.

I just don't have a regional tie to any pro teams. I love watching nba but don't really claim any team, just have teams that I follow closer and watch more often. NFL is similar but not quite the same.

I think a team that overachieves and goes 17-13 can be way more entertaining than a team that goes 19-11 and underachieves.

I'll give a hypothetical. Let's assume last years team gets left out which was very possible considering we were in the play in game.

This years team goes 17-13 and it's possible that it feels like a better season than the one I described above.

It's all about perception.

I think one thing that hurt Zo's seasons is he never had any defining games. He had some good win.....Florida, uconn, and virginia to name a few but he never had any games where u dread turning it on and then u think holy sh&t we are winning. Not his fault but I think that affects perception some.

I was beginning to think my friend was loaded bc he bought new gear every yr. I remember one yr Pittsburgh got beat by joe Montana's chiefs....he ran his mouth for almost a yr....Pittsburgh spanked the chiefs the following season and I tried to talk trash to him till I noticed he was wearing a broncos jacket....made me smh.

Yeah it snapped in half, like Joe Theismann.

Edit: this was in response to Sparty, not just a random jack*** post.
