We can come up with a list of players that are doing quite well under 5"10" tall.

Higgenbotten at Arkansas 5'7"
Hildago Notre Dame 5'6"
Latson Florida State 5'8"
Blakes Vanderbilt 5'8"
Diamond Johnson NC St transfer to Norfolk St 5'5"
Amoore Kentucky 5'6"
Cavinder Miami 5'6"
K. Johnson Virginia 5'7"
Cambridge Ohio St 5'7"
G. Bryant Illinois 5'6"

There is ten and there are a lot more that are doing really well having big seasons.

Mia has been listed as 5'7" by her school and Mya an inch shorter. We all remember how well Bobbitt could play at 5'2". Both twins are three tier scorers they can get to the rim just like Amoore, Hildago and Higgenbotten in our league. 5'8" Blakes grabbed an offensive rebound over our entire team and scored to beat us at 5'8". I don't see their height as being a problem they can score from the three, mid range, and rim.
They are around 5’5 I’ve seen them in person up close and I was with someone who was 5’7 and the twins were a couple of inches shorter.

I never saw ppl saying that this was an absolute gold D that would just roll. I mostly saw ppl say well it works to a point on OOC but will it hold up through the SEC gauntlet. I've saw maybe one poster on here that is way overconfident, but most were posting IMO pretty stable retorts all year. This team started outside the top 25, I think we finished about where anyone not wearing orange shades thought or maybe a little higher. JMO
I am not going to call out posters but there were a few who were very enthusiastic and optimistic that CKC's system would be very disruptive to the ticking order of WCBB. More than a few proclaimed "no team will have ever seen anything like this!." And you know what, there is no shame in that jubiliant optimism. The system was part of the buzz and excitement and it sure looked awesome for the first half of the season.

All that matters is the learning curve. How to manage the intensity, when to high press and went to sit back in a more conventional half court D and having a plan B for when the team is not able to generate 30 more possessions than the opponent. And that is all the stuff that CKC is talking about now.

Mia is about the same size as Hildago maybe not as chubby. Long arms or short arms cause head height sometimes is not a factor. Hair 7 inches high does not count.

Not only Nikki Anosike but also Kelly Cain and Vicki Baugh, all 6’5”ish. Plus Candace Parker.

Lil Shannon Babbitt had sizeable help.
You just look what Kentucky did with Three decent posts who can play a little bit. And guards who handles the press.
If going to win championship you aleast got to have one post and preferably two bigs who can match or slow down the other teams bigs on defense and keep pace on offense.

I haven’t seen Hidalgo up close and in person so I’ll only talk about the twins. But none of that matter if they are as good as u say and can be All-Americans.

But people on here dismissed Kentucky earlier in the season.

So, in your opinion Shannon Bobbitt should've been shot the moment she sat foot on campus?

Shut the hell up.
Outstanding picture and post.....
Guys, there is a lot of talent about to put on the LVs colors...
I'm certain Coach Kim has some athletic heighth coming here when the portal opens....

Mia is a High School All American. 2138 points scored and 287 threes. Won three state titles in New Jersey still have to see where she and Mya goes from here.

Well, those same hardcores predicted that elite teams would simply curl into a fetal position at the mere thought of the LV's relentless, never before seen pressure.

I think the "system myth" has been dispelled and I would bet $ that CKC is going to adapt her approach quite bit over the next season.
Agree 100%

I just find it hilarious. For years, the LV WBB fanbase pleaded for high school recruits in the Top 15 and young talent to build around. Coach Caldwell and TN recruiters Tubner/Lazo landed arguably the best recruiting class in 2025 in just 7 months and suddenly the conversation has shifted to petty critiques.
CKC met the standard of adding 3 McDonald’s All-Americans tied for the most signed by any WBB program in 2025, now it’s backhand compliments like if they are good enough.
If they are ranked above good players in their class at their position as 5-star/4-star prospects, explain how they aren’t good enough? Anybody remember Destanni Henderson in the SEC? Case closed.
Five commits with three in the Top 15 and two in the Top 50. I don’t care what height any of them are.
They are bringing elite talent, leadership, intangibles, and a collective program changing “winner’s”mentality.
GBO ‘solid’!

You make a good point about arm length; I've heard a lot say that ZZ has very long arms for his stature and seems to aid him in defense and steals. It can be a factor especially for those with a quick twitch.

I think it is a terrific class. However, I do hope we find some hight in the portal. Someone or two who can hit layups and play defense in the lane without fouling. We gave up; a ton for points in the lane and fouled a lot given up three point plays.

Wait...they are only around 5'5"? That seems like a concern unless you're on the court with true bigs to offset the height disadvantage.

Even Zeigler struggles with this some games.

You’re right. Also the team’s current projected roster for next season wouldn’t be small regardless of what happens in the portal. Some people just had to find something to complain about after Coach Caldwell dominated HS recruiting in year 1. Now they want to tell her and the coaching staff all over social media how to recruit the portal even though they dominated that last April in the first month on Rocky Top.
GBO!
That's if they all stay

Right. I see what you did there. It’s players right now in P4 basketball playing that’s the same height as the Pauldo twins.
Destanni Henderson played in the SEC and was probably a little smaller atleast weight wise as the twins and she was listed at 5’7.

That must be like trying to play on the men’s side at say 5’9”. Never happen.

In all of his "heightened glory",,all 5'9" of him

The average height in the WNBA is 5 feet, 11 inches tall. Or 71”….The average height on the NBA is 6 feet, 7 inches or 79 inches.

Zakai is 69” (10 inches shorter than the average)…Mya/Mia are 66” (5 inches shorter than the average

Oh and most of these Pros didn't grow beyond college!
Kinda puts things into perspective

I hope they'll be better than the amazing Shannon Bobbitt who was even shorter, but if anyone is seriously counting on them hitting nearly as many layups off those dazzling drives and spin moves in the SEC as they're hitting in high school, they may be disappointed.

I hope they'll make a lot of them, but I suspect a lot of them will also get stuffed with a force they've never seen before, too.

I can't wait to watch the freshmen grow in the first couple of months.
You said it!! Not a place for little people!!

Everything this 2025 #1/#2 recruiting class is doing is elite. The original Lambo Vols HS edition. What are they talking about? Stick to the facts. Mia, Mya = Destanni Henderson = Elite.
Morris Catholic playing for a 3peat today.
GBO ‘solid’!
