Alright! For fun only! We are all on height watch with the twins lol I’m seeing conflicting reports ranging from 5’5 to 5’7. Have your measuring tapes ready when they hit rocky top! We need all hands on deck to solve the mystery.

Also, Mya is having a fantastic tournament in NJ.

I don't give a da-n how good they are now! As you say "THEY SHORT"!! In the SEC where 5'10" is short for the most part, they gonna have a hard time.
I hope they'll be better than the amazing Shannon Bobbitt who was even shorter, but if anyone is seriously counting on them hitting nearly as many layups off those dazzling drives and spin moves in the SEC as they're hitting in high school, they may be disappointed.

I hope they'll make a lot of them, but I suspect a lot of them will also get stuffed with a force they've never seen before, too.

I can't wait to watch the freshmen grow in the first couple of months.

We can come up with a list of players that are doing quite well under 5"10" tall.

Higgenbotten at Arkansas 5'7"
Hildago Notre Dame 5'6"
Latson Florida State 5'8"
Blakes Vanderbilt 5'8"
Diamond Johnson NC St transfer to Norfolk St 5'5"
Amoore Kentucky 5'6"
Cavinder Miami 5'6"
K. Johnson Virginia 5'7"
Cambridge Ohio St 5'7"
G. Bryant Illinois 5'6"

There is ten and there are a lot more that are doing really well having big seasons.

Mia has been listed as 5'7" by her school and Mya an inch shorter. We all remember how well Bobbitt could play at 5'2". Both twins are three tier scorers they can get to the rim just like Amoore, Hildago and Higgenbotten in our league. 5'8" Blakes grabbed an offensive rebound over our entire team and scored to beat us at 5'8". I don't see their height as being a problem they can score from the three, mid range, and rim.

Psychologically the shorter player often gets "a pass" in the eyes of the referee...It's human nature to take it easier on the littler player.

Kenny the Kentucky coach now that was at Virginia tech
Said he recruited T Key who decided not to use a last of eligibility at Tennessee this year.
Kenny said TK was more 68 than her listed 66.

Most said Parker was talker than her listed height.

Tall player's list their shorter sometimes.
short Players list it taller sometimes too.

It's not like the NFL combine where they are measured and do drills in from of all the NFL teams.

Or boxing where they weight in their in their underwear

No one knows how many players height is listed wrong on purpose or accident.

ZZ says HI! 👋
As do the very tall people he plays with.

Every small player mentioned in this thread was surrounded by very tall, very long teammates.

Thats always been the question about next yrs lineup, right now one of the smallest in LV history.

Going to be one of several interesting experiments next season.

CKC and company still have the portal to add some bigger players. The line-up is just never set till the portal closes.

Right, I’m hoping they will.

Some hardcores about the ‘system’ say there’s no need for size though. We’ll see.
Well, those same hardcores predicted that elite teams would simply curl into a fetal position at the mere thought of the LV's relentless, never before seen pressure.

I think the "system myth" has been dispelled and I would bet $ that CKC is going to adapt her approach quite bit over the next season.

didnt parker have Niki A 64 center helper in post. not sure how to spell her name. but Pat Summits last two champships team had two 64 plus bigs who could guard/score in the paint.
Not only Nikki Anosike but also Kelly Cain and Vicki Baugh, all 6’5”ish. Plus Candace Parker.

Lil Shannon Babbitt had sizeable help.

You’re right. Also the team’s current projected roster for next season wouldn’t be small regardless of what happens in the portal. Some people just had to find something to complain about after Coach Caldwell dominated HS recruiting in year 1. Now they want to tell her and the coaching staff all over social media how to recruit the portal even though they dominated that last April in the first month on Rocky Top.
GBO!

I never saw ppl saying that this was an absolute gold D that would just roll. I mostly saw ppl say well it works to a point on OOC but will it hold up through the SEC gauntlet. I've saw maybe one poster on here that is way overconfident, but most were posting IMO pretty stable retorts all year. This team started outside the top 25, I think we finished about where anyone not wearing orange shades thought or maybe a little higher. JMO
