Did anyone else notice Fulmer try to chew out Hefney after he fielded a punt inside the 5? Hafney just walked right past him without even turning his head. I wonder if that's indicative of the level of respect that the UT players have for CPF?

Or was that Hardesty?

It was a remarkably boneheaded play for a Junior to make.

I saw that too - he just ignored the coach and the coach LET him get away with that...

maybe Hefney was trying to show Fulmer what he normally shows the team.............

IMO, the team has no respect for Fulmer and I'm not really sure he's in charge of anything.

One things for sure: Hefney wasn't inclined to stop when his head coach wanted to talk to him.

Lack of discipline and leadership. Also, the players do not fear Fulmer

Fulmer doesnt command respect and discipline. Can you imagine a player doing that to Saban, or Stoops?

Fulmer has never had control of players nor the team. The respect factor is non-existent. Fulmer can change that if he wanted to.

Actually, Crews has done that at least 5 times this year. Bottom line: good players get away with stuff that bad players never would. It happens in every sport with every coach.

didnt coker fail to do something that fulmer asked him to, isnt that why he didnt start? then we get down and boom he's in the game. the players know that fulmer needs them more than they need fulmer. the 98 team was good cause if you didnt play hard you answered to al wilson not fulmer.

As Fulmer fumed and waited to address his player on the sidelines, Hackney walked past him with complete disinterest. It would not have surprised me to see Hackney take Fulmer's cap off, piss in it, and put it back on his head. Fulmer made no attempt to force his player to respect him.

i was initially shocked that fulmer even yelled at him. i was ready for the famous fulmer clap. hefney did make sure and stay on the ten from then on, so i think the message was clear.

most of our players could "go" in the draft, but they wont unless theyre gonna be 1st or 2nd round. Seriously, go look at our old rosters and copy names into google. Most have an NFL profile where they were atleast signed as a UFA by a team.

Hefney is as good of a player as we have, anyone who hasnt seen that, doesnt know the sport they are watching.

Good players could get away with it at most schools. But most don't try, because of the respect they have for their coach as a mentor. Players at universities like Oklahoma, USC, etc don't display that kind of disrespect often.
