I don't see the big deal - the tag line is about their world (not shown) returning to ours (shown).
Seems reasonable to me.
I will once the show is done. I prefer the "wow" factor of things like Ned Starks death on TV rather the the "wow" factor of reading it in a book.
Normally, I suppose I would too. But know you're missing a lot of little subtleties that don't translate into the show for whatever reason. The story in the show is great, but the story in the books is much, much better.
I would agree on the books, isn't it almost always that way? I can't think of many movies that were better than the book. I think much of my experience with book to movie conversions leave me asking questions as to why certain things were excluded or wondering why the series or movie added things that weren't originally within the book. I suppose on certain occasions it would be a different experience to watch the series first before reading the book and then compare the two. I've rarely done this, True Blood might be the only exception.
SPOILER ALERT if you haven't read the books.
what is the dog most afraid of and why?
why was ned stark and jon arryn killed?who killed jon arryn and how was he killed?what was used to kill ned stark?
what does jon snow and his wolf find in the woods while past the wall?and what is the wildings hunting for?
there, sorry i didn't know about the book thread.
