HBO's "Game of Thrones"

Apparently Margaery was killed off because during Season 5 Natalie Dormer asked to be released from her contract so she could take on other projects.

Ugh. Really Natalie? You can take on other projects too... so book Margaery might not see her end at this point?

Only part of that statement is true. She wasn't killed off because she asked, but Natalie asked if she could be released from filming season 5 early for another role. They responded by saying no we can't release you from filming early, but then informed her that in a few months her character would be dying. The directors said they initially were going to wait a few more months to inform her about the death, but decided to go on an tell her when she had asked to be released early.

The entire story could still be different in the books.
Remeber book Tommen's is like 6 yrs old so can't easily be manipulated by sex or the High Sparrow so trial by combat may still happen in the book. There are so many subtle things different in the books from where the show diverged that I am still very exited to read them.

This show cannot have too much Bronn... pisses me off that Samwell/Gilly get so much screen time with characters like Bronn getting reduced to cameo appearances.

Gotta love Bronn. I bet he dies doing something heroic in the end, like saving Tyrions life or something. That would be ironic.

IMO Sam gets a lot of screen time because he has a huge part in the saving of humanity in the war for the dawn. Bronn does not imo. He is more of an ancillary character in the story. Great character, but not an important one. GRRM has made Sam a really big part of the story for a reason. And it's not for comedic value.

Yeah, that's apparent... but he's arguably the least interesting character on the show (I know I'm not alone on this one!)

I don't think he is uninteresting. He is fat, he can't fight, he is definitely not cool or good looking, and he is clumsy and slow. That is why people don't like him imo, he is ugly and wimpy. But he is extremely intelligent, honorable, very funny, loyal and above all else extremely useful. I like reading his POV chapters in the books.

I think the book does Sam more justice than the show does. When he's out beyond the wall In the book he becomes a man. And, in the show he just stays the same old Sam.

I suppose I'm mildly annoyed that someone like Sam could make it this far in a world as brutal as Westeros. He's kind-hearted, can't fight, smart but not quick witted, and lets basically anyone walk over him.

Would be more interesting if he, like Tyrion, used his mind as his weapon - like a MacGyver-like character who avoids trouble and wins the day by thinking outside of the box...there's been flashes of this but in an "idiot savant" fashion.

Perhaps he will become more interesting with his Citadel training next season....

I'm really starting to think Tyrion is a Targaryen Nobody can touch a dragon and live unless that person is Targaryen. Everybody keep their distances only Dani has ever touched them and she wasn't even there to calm them down for Tyrion.

Jon, Dani and Tyrion caused their mothers' death at birth, how can this be just a coincidence?
Remind me if I'm wrong but Tywin did say to Tyrion "you're not my son" right? I think he was beyond just wanting to hurt his feelings then, dying men often tells the truth. So I do think Tyrion is Dani's half-brother.

If there's to be 3 dragon riders like in the legend on the show then we have only these 3 persons at this point of the story, we're too near the end to introduce such a new major character into play.

If Tyrion and Jon are Targaryens then you have the 3 riders of the e dragons.

I know it's very unlikely but it would be a epic twist to a already epic story.

In the House of the Undying, Daenerys comes across a vision of Rhaegar. He appears to look at Dany then, as if seeing her, and then he adds that "There must be one more," and "The dragon has three heads."

"He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire."

Not true. Several houses from old Valyria had dragon riders. Also, at one point in history they were short on riders and had tryouts. Some died trying and others were successful for no reason explainable by lineage.

The show hasn't established any other Valyrian houses though. I think they will go the simple route of Dragon Rider=Targaryen. I think that is why Euron's horn wasn't introduced.

During the Dance of the Dragons, there were several Dragons bonded to others. I'm pretty sure some were not even of Valyrian blood IIRC.

Watch it or whiny baby will show up griping about stupid spoiler tags.

I agree about them going the simple route, but I'm not so sure they are not going to use the horn. They have to do something to slow down Dany's progress for dramatic purposes imo. There are no armies left in Westeros that can hope to withstand her for long.

They are probably going to do the dragon horn like they did the horn that was never introduced with the bag of obsidian.

The producers are said to be skipping it. But if they were going to skip it they would have introduced the Dragon Horn like at the Kingsmoot just like in the books. They basically swapped the dragon horn for 1,000 ships.

Everybody I can think of was either a Targaryen or a Velaryon or a bastard of one of those families. Nettles may not have been but according to the wiki she was a dragonseed.
