HBO's "Game of Thrones"

Well I did say that the long held fan theory had probably been confirmed but they sure did go out of their way to avoid confirming it with 100% certainty.

I'm not a book reader so I'm just regurgitating other people's theories that I've read but there do seem to be a couple of details that avoid completely debunking at least one other option.

That particular theory is out there, but knowing how crazy that man was it's possible, but IMO not very likely. In this case the most obvious answer is probably the truth. I guess they just want to milk it. I don't understand why they keep beating around the bush now. It does leave questions unanswered, but for what reason?

Agreed. I was just mentioning that there is at least one potential alternative that was still technically feasible.

What alternative is that???

That one.

I think that confirmed it. I think they just wanted the powerful transition shot from baby Jon to adult Jon.

Either way, there's no Daenerys there. At the least, we know it's a boy.

A little disappointing to see the director list.

Especially the lack of guys who direct battle scenes. I was expecting season 7 to be all ass kicking dragon flying and Cersei stabbing. And we get the guy who made Arya into Wolverine and the Waif into Terminator. yay

Wait, there are actually people who think that may be the Mad King's son? That's just laughable.

Probably so. As I said, just a theory I read in the wake of finale that is at least being discussed as to the reason for the dropped portion of the conversation between Ned and sister.

Not a love child..a victim of rape child. I don't believe it either. It makes little sense. It is usually the same crowd that postulates the Tyrion being a rape child of the Aerys and Joanna L.

I thought part of the Tyrion Targ theory was that Aerys and Joanna had a long affair predating her marriage to Tywin.

I have heard that also. Some theories postulate that the reason Tywin left his post, is that they were having an ongoing affair. Hence he was never sure Tyrion was even his child. So when Joanna died in childbirth. It added to the Tyrion hatred.

This was shot down also. I can't remember which episode but Tyrion's uncle said he was his fathers child. I think that's why he hated him so much.

They did. Aery's was so obsessed with her to the point that Queen Rhaella dismissed her from her service in King's Landing and sent her back to Casterly Rock when Tywin was hand of the King to keep her away from him. Joanna did attend the anniversary tourney in King's Landing in 272 AC and in 273 AC Tyrion was born.

Is that official canon? Where is that info found? Not doubting you, just curious where I can find it.

Apparently Margaery was killed off because during Season 5 Natalie Dormer asked to be released from her contract so she could take on other projects.
