Interested to see what Davos' call will be, when he realizes that his tasks at Castle Black were mostly to keep his voice of reason away while Stannis went through with the murder of his daughter

For those of you that do not understand the importance of Bran, you are highly underestimating how critical his character is to the overall storyline.

I think it's too soon and too climactic a moment for it to happen off-screen. Still, Bran being with the three-eyed raven + Drogon's world tour leaves it open as a possibility. He did sort of deus ex machina into the fighting pits to save Dany as well.

When he realizes it? Didn't it seem like he already knew what was going to happen as soon as he was gone? That's why he tried to argue for taking her with him back to CB and why, once he was refused, he said goodbye to her and thanked her for helping him "grow up" and gave her the stallion figurine as a gift. Seemed like he knew exactly what was about to happen.

I really wished we got to see the Greyjoy plot line with Theon's uncles this season. I'm holding out hope for season 6.

It was obvious he knew what was happening. I can't believe more people didn't pick up on it.

my two cents:

This is the most brutal and unforgiving show I've ever watched; and I love every second of it. No punches are pulled; very much like real life. Horrific @#$% happens and, like societies' attempt to process atrocities, the writers allow viewers to sort out tragedies and attempt to find justification and meaning behind the meaningless.

Smartly, they ended with the most uplifting (no pun intended) scene of the season with Dany finally reaching her full potential that her Targaryian bloodline possesses - the ending almost made me forget about Stannis....almost.

How does one choose who to root for in the Bolton/Baratheon conflict?? There is no lesser of two evils here! Should we cheer for both to be wiped from existence?

I share everyone's opinion of the Dorn storyline; very much a let down on every level except the Sand Snake boobage.

Good to see Lord Friendzone achieve vindication for his betrayal; I fully expected him to go down unceremoniously in the pits... he's still a dead man though

So the Unsullied get there arses kicked for a second time; another letdown for me this season.

This is the guy who risked his life to save a random bastard from being executed. I don't believe he would stand idly by while Stannis burned Shireen, who is pretty much a surrogate daughter to him. He would rather die first.

This. There's no way Davos knew what was happening. That's why Stannis sent him away before he did it, Davos would have died fighting for her and Stannis knew it.

I wish I had stopped after season 4, which is one of the most compelling seasons of any TV show ever. There are some decent stretches in the last 4, but seasons 6 and 8 are on the level of a bad network show.

I discovered Dexter on Netflix. I did stop after season 4. Can't really explain why just couldn't go on anymore. But you just confirmed I made the right decision.

Yeah, the first half of Dexter if fantastic.

If you want a dark, bleak ending, watch through S4.
If you want a slightly more happy/less bleak ending, watch through S5.
Don't bother with S6-8. Unless you just really want to know what goes on, and don't mind watching really dumb TV to do it.

To further the Dexter convo, I'm currently watching all the episodes again with my fiance. (She had never watched it before). We just finished season 6 last week. Her reaction to the end of season 6 was priceless.

One is a family who flays people for fun and cuts off men's dicks as torture. One wants to stop men like that, by any means necessary.

Easy to me.

Their family is notorious for flaying, it's what the dreadfort was made for essentially. They also broke standard rules of war with the Red Wedding. Good reasons to hate.
