Difference is I honestly was not that impressed this year and think he'll be a nfl bust.

Everybody trash talks. Striker was mostly yelling at his own fans. He said "send your recruits to OU" and that pisses you off? That is sooooo mild and is not disrespectful to the fans or university. And he impacts every game he plays in. You people are just mad about what he said about Hurd and your precious conference. He has scoreboard, so yeah. He earned the right to backup his earlier statements, if that was his intention. Again, I hope Bob suspends Byrd for the finger gesture. Be pissed off about that, but you have no idea what the fans might've said to him while on the sideline. Just stop crying already.

an opponent honestly gives his opinion and he's classless? I don't get that at all. I understand using it as motivation, but I never thought an opposing player was "classless" by giving an opinion on my talents.

You people are just like Alabama fans....EXACTLY. I think what most people around the country despise is the tendency for the SEC schools defending each other, but actually it all does make sense now. It's a mob mentality.

Oh hell the games over I'll just say it for those who haven't figured it out. If you're pissed off and spending personal containing and chipping striker you are not looking somewhere else. Devante Bond and safety/CB blitzes being the obvious. If you game plan and focus on him then he's doing his job.

Then a minor issue gets pretty ugly pretty fast.

Right after a hard fought game isn't the place to get into it with emotions still running high.

I tend to agree. I don't fault Butch really, but I'm not sure it was the best idea.

This loss ranks up toward the top to me as one of the most embarrassing loss inside Neyland. I still can't believe how lackadaisical Butch and his staff got after they got the lead. We let a very average OU team with a walk on QB come in here and make us look stupid. I was thinking that Butch and his staff would've had our boys ready to go hard all night after all the trash talk from Stoops and his players. Coming into Neyland Stadium on a Saturday night is nowhere like it use to be, and OU proved it. The bad thing about it, just about every Vols fan seen this coming. There's no excuse for this loss, and Butch knows it. We had our chance to get a decent quality win at home, and in typical TN fashion we blew it!

That's probably the feeling of a majority of the fanbase right now. We had so many chances to make one more play to end the game and just couldn't do it. Reminded me way too much of the Dooley years.

Hey Butch...you could have shut Striker up permanently by kicking OK's @$$ last night. Instead you pulled a Fulmer and went into "Preservation Mode" for the second half. :blink:
