Jones was probably frustrated himself .. I mean, I would be too if I had a Power 5 team from another conference on the ropes with a walk-on QB struggling through 3 quarters and still let it get away. This one is on Butch and Debord as much as anything because Hurd chewed up a lot of yardage in the first 2 and a half quarters and was kept on the shelf for most (not all) of the last 1 and a half. RUN THE DAMN BALL and keep their offense off the field and the Vols are 2-0.

Reads like a guy who probably didn't watch the game. They sure as hell didn't abandon the run.

Striker is like most of the five year olds(mentally speaking) that populate the NFL, the more attention you pay to his bad behavior, the more he will do it.

Suh is the perfect example of what I am talking about with his head shot yesterday on Morris.

Well, you're wrong.

If the roles were reversed and it was our player throwing around profanities at our school, fans, players and conference on the field I would not be upset at all if Stoops responded like Butch.

That was the best call Butch made after the first quarter on Saturday.

This whole response is just dumb. Nobody on our team faked an injury. You need to check your own band's behavior before you start calling out another program. I heard your band playing that awful tune when our Oline was in formation and waiting to snap many times.



It is his place when the coaching staff on the other team is clearly failing at their job to control their players.

OU fans were saying TKJr was faking to slow them down. The guy had helmet to helmet hit. Yeah, he was clearly dedicated to slowing the down by going head to head against a teammate

They misunderstood faking an injury with the player's desire to play through it. TKjr got up after the hit when he was obviously hurt.

I don't think TKJr knew what he wanted after that hit. I don't see how any reasonable person could say he was faking an injury.

I can see it from their perspective... I think that TKjr was back on his feet after the hit but his teammates urged him to get back on the ground. Also that came after there was another injury TO just a few plays earlier about 20 yards behind the LOS on the west sideline. A UT coach went onto the field telling that guy to get down and he took a knee when he could have easily made it to the sideline. He was injured though. It's going to be a challenging rule interpretation going forward. Players need to be protected but coaches are going to abuse a loophole.

As it happened it was hard to tell. After the fact it's obvious that he was hurt and the time out was necessary. Everybody didn't see the hit and TKjr was on his feet right afterwards.

This was the first time Butch had comparable talent in a big game while at UT. Pretending it is more than thatis idiotic.

Finebaum was taking jabs at Stoops he said Stoops took a jab at Finebaum and he something to the effect of the Stryker and Byrd follow their leader.. By actions..

I get the SEC vs everybody but to me it's getting out of control.. We know we are the best but it seemed like Bobby was using this as motivation for his team.. Of course he was.. I know.

Brett Bielma really has to be embarrased bout his comments bout the Big10 and Ohio St., it's time to just worry bout your team and not worry bout the conference...

Watched the whole thing actually .. UT ran the ball with their RBs 9 times in the second half over 6 drives .. one of those runs was Kamara. There a few QB runs in there and the Pearson run. But I believe there was also 13 pass attempts as well. In other words, a 50/50 split. Not sure I said they abandoned the run, but they sure as heck didn't run enough to burn the clock.

You can say what you want, but they kept trying to force things with Dobbs' arm rather than run the ball, burn more clock and keep their offense off the field as much as possible.

Example .. after Hurd's fumble that he recovered, there was a Dobbs run and a Dobbs incomplete pass afterwards. Burned enough clock? Nope.

D'Antonio has already won huge at MSU. He's built up enough credibility while winning with less talent that he can weather a bad game. Butch has won nothing. I could care less about who has more talent. Butch has had multiple opportunities to win big games and he fails every time.

"Abandon" is not accurate but we got too far away from it specifically in the 3rd quarter. If I heard correctly (radio) we threw as many passes in the 3rd quarter as we did in the first 2 combined.

The 3rd quarter (while not the one we gave up the points in) is where the game slipped away. IMO

I would expect Stoops to handle his players and Jones to handle his. If either doesn't thats on them and they should reap whatever comes from that. That doesn't mean what Jones said was wrong, just not his place to do that IMO. There was nothing good that came from it and plenty that could have been worse.

So a freshman UT player runs his mouth and he gets knocked out by another UT player. But when a visiting team's player runs his mouth after the game insulting our team, our fans, our conference, our school, and our recruits, our players walk off with their tails between their legs. Pathetic. And then Butch plays the dad role and has to yell at Striker since our players won't do anything about it
