Hart must go

I saw that. Some people made it sound as though he wasn't as involved as of late having bought the Browns.

I find it hard to believe he won't help put up some dough to get a proven head coach in here.

Like one of my favorite Panic openers, "Let's Get The Show on the Road"...

The money is there for the right coach. The Haslams aren't the only ones that are kicking in.

When Hart made the decision to keep Dooley after the KY loss, he put himself in the same boat as Dooley.

AD Hart's unwillingness to deal with the meltdown of the Volunteer Nation shows that he is not up to the job. He needs to resign immediately.

He had 2 choices: Either find a new coach and announcde Dooley's firing/replacement OR come out with a visible and tangible level of support for Dooley. He has done neither.

Perhaps Dooley's administrative skills would allow him to become the new AD saving buyout money and provide a smooth path for a new head coach.

Something needs to happen. The meltdown is out of hand. I have been a solid Dooley (and Vol) supporter but it is beyond repair. End it mercifully and quickly.

We don't know anything about behind the scenes. Idk how he doesn't end up canned, but if he screws it up. I will call for it.

Firing Dooley midseason is the wrong move. That's what happened to Fulmer and the team responded with a loss to Wyoming.

And Hart is doing what he should be doing. He's putting out feelers finding out who would be interested in the job. That way at the end of the season, he knows exactly who to call.

This season is pretty much over for us. We might as well start the search early.

C'mon man?!?!

Hart's been here barely a year and has the job of righting one of the most screwed up athletic departments in the nation.

The way Hammy nailed Fulmer during the season was wrong. Hart nailing Dooley this early in the season would be just as wrong. Not to mention Hart is going to need an unbelievable infusion of cash to make this happen. Can the Haslams to this? They just dropped a billion to buy the Browns and another ten mil to buy a mansion in Cleveland.

There are those with more knowledge than me about the $$$ of the situation, but to call for Hart's head on a platter now is crazy. We all know there is constantly stuff going on behind the scenes we don't know about.

As long as Hart doesn't hire a damn PR firm to find a new coach we should be ok..after the season though.. Don't want Kentucky to add on to their win streak against UT.

Like Dooley has any chance of coaching this team to a win?
Come on, man, the writing is on the wall. Even with a win over SC (doubtful), this season is a bust. If Hart can land an actual coach, it could do nothing but energize the fan base and program even with an interim coach the rest of the season.

Well sad to say but there's this thing called ....$$$$$ that has a lot of weight and bottom line....no wins mean less $$$$$ which equals many, many un-happy people. the question is just how mny coach buyouts can UT afford.

The thing about the Haslams are they aren't the only multi-billionaires in the Booster Association. They also have a lot of connections.

Also, I do agree that firing dooley midseason is the wrong plan, but I also know that being outward about anything at this point is the wrong thing to do also. I have full Faith that Hart is getting his cards lined up but is keeping them close to the vest atm. An announcement won't be made until everything is already said and done. This man doesn't seem to make moves without a plan.

Most likely hart is already reaching out to some people. If he is worth a damn this will not be the public spectacle that hamilton coaching searches were.

The spectacle was who we ended up with because nobody wanted the job. Twice!
