I heard the same rumor the other day. I also hear it's not a rumor because it was verified by Fulmer's pet hamsters so now we have a source.Rumor is the entire locker room told JP that if JG played one more game they were all going to transfer.
Of course, I just started this rumor but it's a pretty good rumor as far as rumors go.
Last time I checked IIRC they were liked 6th in the SEC in total defense.....maybe 7th...just can't recall for positive but definitely not No. 1.....UF's defense is hardly good. Their run defense sucks and their pass defense ranks in the high 80's nationally. Again... don't know where this #1 defense in the SEC comes from. If thats the case... we are the new Big 12.
But...but...but.....JGIt was always going to be Bailey at some point. Unless he just falls flat on his face and performs awful he's the face of the program going forward and I think that was the plan all along. Covid pushed the timing back but it was going to happen. If he's lucky enough to get 4 games under his belt, maybe win a couple, god forbid 4 in a row then I think we'll be good at the QB position going into next season with a clear cut QB1.
QB really lost us two games this year. I can make a case for 3 games, but will say 2 where the QB directly led to our loss.If ONLY the QB position was Tennessee’s Achilles heel......the Vols have problems with many positions
Unfortunately
That makes zero sense. How in the world does Shrout not at least know how to get a snap off in time? If you have a QB that isn’t capable of handling the simple things like that then they don’t need to be a QB on the team.Pruitt has said that one QB has been out due to contact tracing and some media believe that QB is Guarantano. If that's the case, then he hasn't been able to practice at all since the Auburn game...so all game planning has been with Bailey, Maurer, and Shrout. The coaches don't seem to trust Shrout to keep the offense from getting multiple delay of game penalties, let alone avoid throwing it to the other team, so he's likely not going to play. They've also seemed hesitant to play Maurer much this season and gave him a quick hook for Bailey when he stunk it up against Arkansas. It's highly likely that Bailey has been the second team guy for at least the last few weeks. Add to that the comments from Palmer (tweeted by Trey Wallace...not Palmer) and you've got good reason to believe it's Bailey's offense on Saturday unless he's completely ineffective.
