Might be announced today. Bottom line on G4tv said image of Halo 4 was on Microsoft's website. Supposedly announced today at E3.

I don't think anyone thought the industry would walk away from that cashcow until they had milked it dry.

yeah, I thought this was a dumb move by Microsuck too.

It would be like Nintendo retiring Mario. Not gonna happen.

Reading alot about that this was accidentally leaked. There might be nothing for it at this show

Just depends on the new guys (321?) If these new guys find a way to butcher it...

nope got a brief trailer for it. i think they were hoping for the surprise at the end to catch back the attention they lost during the kinect family stuff, however the leak might have hurt that

It's a new trilogy, glad to see MS plans on raping the franchise now that Bungie is gone. I'll be interested to see what 343 Industries is able to do with it.

So they are just remaking the Halo trilogy? Am I interpreting that right?

halo 1 is getting remade in HD

Halo 4 is a new game from the new developers in charge (343 studios; bungie made the last one their swan song and wanted that to be their last one)

now as far as what 343 plans on doing w/ halo 4 (story or gameplay wise) no clues so far

....other than it looks like after halo 3 (where the half a ship was heading) and chief appeared to use something to get across the ship horizontally (a jetpack perhaps?)

It should be noted that 343 Studios is comprised of a lot of Bungie employees mostly those that are heavily invested (no surprise there) in the Halo franchise. The most notable is Frank O' Connor who was the lead intellectual and development manager from Halo 1 on.

"Assault on the Control Room" is one of my favorite game levels ever.

I've always been a fan of the series, though.

They need to get Halo 2 remade for a 360 title, had the best online imo out of all of them.

So he had a jetpack throughout Halo 3 and didn't feel the need to use it? Awesome...

I read where everyone was upset that a new studio was developing this and was about to share this until I saw your post. Halo is in good hands. I can't wait to see where this game is headed!

I can't say I'm really excited for this. Halo 2 was awesome and since then I've been pretty "meh" about the series. Halo 3 was ok but it was disappointing the way they ended it....or didn't end it rather. The 3 spin-off titles didn't do a lot for me anyway. I didn't even play much of Halo Wars since I'm not big into RTS games. Halo 3: ODST was a joke; it should have been DLC added to H3. And Reach was better than ODST but still wasn't all that great.
