Fortunately, for Tennessee, your excitement level has no impact on the success or failure of this signing. Also fortunate for Tennessee is that Rodney Garner's ability to evaluate Defensive Linemen has a great deal of impact on the success or failure of this signing.Sorry, but I have a hard time getting excited about a kid I’ve never heard of transferring from a school I’ve never heard of in a conference I’ve never heard of.
"Nothing crazy athletically"Schell is a fine pickup. He's nothing crazy athletically but a player like him can be nice to have when you rotate thru 12 DL. Not really the most explosive but he will probably play harder than any DL we have and plays with a lot of violence. 6'5/275 body that has experience that can play inside and out. Oh and he also was a gunner on kickoffs lol
I wonder about posters who think they know more about the quality of football players than any coach8ng staff. It just indicates they don't have any idea about the recruiting pool.Fortunately, for Tennessee, your excitement level has no impact on the success or failure of this signing. I didn't know they allowed tackles in baseballIf I am understanding this article, Schell played college baseball at Grand Valley. That indicates athletic ability that certainly is not typical for a defensive lineman. A seasoned college football player added to the rotation sounds excellent. Need to pick up a few more.
“Schell redshirted his true freshman season at Grand Valley State in 2022. He was also a pitcher on the baseball team that year. In 2023, Schell made eight appearances and recorded 11 total tackles.”
